Hey all,

Bought my FiST a week ago and absolutely love it. Two days after I had it I ordered an Injen intake. And yes, i've read over the 58+ pages of the intake thread.

Anyways I received the intake today and would like to install it tomorrow. The car has only 400 miles on it so far. I'm not intending on punishing the crap out of the thing just yet, but would rather install it sooner than later.

Any reason why you think I should hold off for a while longer? I don't see how this is really going to cause any harm so early, but I wanted the second opinion.

Thanks!

Break in is so subjective, warm your car up (engine oil and coolant) before romping, and enjoy your car. I would purchase a Cobb AP not to mess with the tune (although stage 1 won't hurt), but really so that you can monitor all of engine's vitals. Cobb AP is a really handy tool thumbsup

Yup, change revs constantly during break-in and try to do full warm-up and cool-down cycles. I waited at least 10 hours between uses of my FiST during the break-in period to allow proper cool-down.

My plans fell through this weekend so i'll be able to log a few more miles before the install. The Cobb AP will be coming next spring. Have to spend some money on snow's and tint over the winter. Damn Wisconsin.

Thank you all for the response.

An update and where to buy. So first I just want to shout out ModBargins.com for the tremendous service I received on the Saturday that I ordered this. It was the first part i've purchased for my new car and they have certainly earned a customer for life. I was browsing on their site when I was asked to chat. I figured it was some third party company managing the website, but no, it was Mike the owner. Gave me a great price, covered the shipping, and even threw in a free t-shirt.

I now have reached out to Jurrian (BlueBomber) via email and have received the same great service I was provided earlier. I can't wait to place my second order from a great company. Just wish I were in California so I could say hi.

As far as the intake, I love it! The sounds it produces is awesome. I can't say much for pickup as the car's brand new and i'm not beating on the thing too much yet. I didn't buy it expecting a ton of extra power. I bought it to start my build, and yeah, to hear it!

Thanks again ModBargins.com and thanks to everyone on here for the continued support.
