Shift Light?

Ok so I've heard the electronics on the FiST are complicated. When I take delivery of my FiST I was looking to install a Autometer Shift Light. Has anyone done this or know if it's worth doing or too hard?

I have a shift light app that I use in conjunction with Torque Pro (Android OBD2 app) and a bluetooth ELM327 OBD2 to Bluetooth adaptor... Works fine for me after a little figgling with the shift points in the app.

I thought this thread might be about the hypermiling arrow on our dash that wants me to shift to 4th at 25 or 30 mph. I'm perfectly happy with the car's fuel efficiency with the way I drive it (a hair under 33 mpg). I'd love to delete the silly up arrow.

How accurate would the blue tooth and app be?

Ya. Didn't realize you were from Australia (I'm on my phone doesn't show that stuff at first glance)
Access port won't work with your car

The app Torque Pro and BT OBD2 reader tend to be pretty accurate, as long as you get a good ELM327 reader. Check Amazon (or your regional web dealer) reviews for good units. Mine ran ~$15USD and I don't even notice it's plugged in when I'm driving - it doesn't get in the way.

Do you drive highway/freeway alot? mine says I average about 26mpg.. still happy with it.. 33mpg would be nice though. I mostly do around town driving.

It's not really highway miles, but I live in a smaller town and don't have nearly as many lights to deal with. For example, on a trip downtown, I might have to stop at five lights in roughly 12 miles.

What pin# did you pull off of for signal, I was going to order another Raptor shift light and that would save me some time. Yours looks great!

You of course need to follow the instructions for the Tach Adapter that are using.

I don't remember what pin I used, however I will look it up and post it.

I used an Autometer Tach Adapter Model #9117.

You will need to cut the wire that supplies power to ALL four coils and insert the tach adaptor.
This wire can be found in connector C133 pin 5, the wire is Green-Orange, the connector is located next to the left headlight.
You will need to cut this wire between the connector and junction S108.
S108 is located on top of the engine and then branches to all four coils.
