I guess they're still working on it. Site doesn't load properly but I can see the pricing. That's it for now though...

I wonder if Ford can take the AWD powertrain from the Ecosport and give us an AWD Fiesta RS.

I expected the price to be right where it is just to compete with the STI and EVO and what not. Would I see myself paying 35k for this car? No. Do I think it's not worth it? I think it's worth every penny. But it's also way more car than I could want or need. I love my Fiesta ST. I researched and planned to buy this car for a year. Not many other cars make me feel the way I do for this car.

Autoguide's announcement today...albeit a little late to the party...

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/07/2016-ford-focus-rs-price-leaked-35-730.html

Pricing for the 2016 Ford Focus RS has leaked online.

The new Ford hot hatch is listed on a configurator which appears to still be in the testing phases, with a starting price of $35,730.

Despite most of the images not working, the configurator did offer a number of options for the RS, including a sunroof, navigation, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and sticky Michelin Cup tires, which alone cost $1,990. With all of the available options added, the price of the RS grows to $42,275.

In comparison, the Subaru WRX STI starts at $35,290 while the Volkswagen Golf R begins at $37,415, putting the Focus RS right in line with its biggest competition. If you compare the specs of these cars, the Focus RS comes out on top, making 345 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque from its 2.3-liter turbocharged engine. Torque can also be momentarily boosted to 347 lb-ft for up to fifteen seconds at a time.

The Focus RS is expected in dealers by Spring of 2016.

Good luck to anyone honking about purchasing one anytime soon. From what I've read most dealers have a waiting list and that's assuming they even get any of the initial batch coming to our shores. I'll wait a year at least b4 considering. That's after I test drive one. I never test drove my FiST, just read a bunch of great reviews and blogs and pulled the trigger.

There will be plenty of supply for the demand, I'm sure. Dealers aren't able to take orders yet, so there are a lot of people claiming to be on lists that probably can't afford it anyways. I'm a bit of a cynic so I won't be believing much until seeing them parked in driveways.

And I wouldn't anticipate this being an easy car to test drive. Not impossible, but I would anticipate some strings to be attached. They aren't going to want to lose a sale based on a vehicle having 1500 'test drive' (read-abusive) miles on out before hand. Bring cash.

Im actually in the same boat as saying there wont be enough supply. Plus first year growing pains may be evident, sure the FiST didnt have them but its "generally speaking" a miniature Focus ST, which was a worthy test bed for alot of the same tech. We can argue semantics but that is a fairly concise statement.

I could see these things getting a 5k+ markup, but then again some dealers are better than that. When the BRZ literally JUST came out, the biggest Subaru dealer in AZ had a white one in the showroom fully loaded that was going to be the owners car, so it was just for test drives and looking at. They turned down several offers far over MSRP for it. My mom ordered her perfect BRZ through them and was told 3-6 months wait, all well and fine! It ended up being a month due to a cancelled order almost identical to hers, but even then they had her pay MSRP which she was happy to pay. Cliff Notes: Some dealers wont try to rape you on price, these BRZ's were in demand, they had 5 other buyers coming over the next couple days to look at it.

Wait until the 2nd model year, prices will go back down a bit, we will know the goods and bads and how to remedy alot of the small issues. Wait why am i even posting my FiST was in an accident and not even worth half of what I owe LOL

I doubt there will be much growing pains at all. Unlike other models that get a few test runs and are thrown on lots for sale to the public, the RS gets years worth of testing before it's released. Reliability should and most likely will be very high. Obviously, this doesn't apply to the guy that buys it and throws the largest possible turbo on it the first weekend.

I don't know where people are getting the info that there will be so few available for purchase. Yes it's a limited trim, but the RS has never outsold production so I don't see this being any different. I think many people are just elevating the platform without much background information. Everything that I've seen from actual 'legitimate' insiders indicate that there will be 'plenty' available.

Both previous Focus RS models ultimately sold at a loss for the company. It's less of a concern for Ford due to its halo status because it helps along sales of all of the lower models tremendously. Those who are dumb enough to pay markup should while everyone else waits for the 'right' time. Even the Focus ST was initially marked-up when it was released, and now most buyers get them for up to (or greater than) $5k below MSRP...

And you can't really blame dealerships for trying to prey on those that are stupid enough to drop that extra cash for no legitimate reason.

I agree that if you overpay thats your fault, but i like a dealership that is transparent enough to not heavily markup a car that other dealers will.
