Yeah stock was too much power for that place lol. Was hard not to overdrive it.
Both those Molten Orange FiST's did well ... :)

So here is my Video from Road America the day before on the big Track Chasing down a Challenger SRT8 catching and being pointed by (per rules) for the pass and then I was very happy with the way the car DROVE away in the straights as well as had the advantage in the corners. even with the Kink taken out and adding 2 near stop corners I still did ok lap times and my straight away speeds were up by 10 mph.. Not that this part of my car build has reached its goals its time to move on to our next project ;) LOL
good thing winter is coming so i can refill my weasel sack with money .. LOL

Stock was PERFECT on the dragon. But sometimes weak in the more awesome roads around it. I think... My car is no longer the perfect mix for the dragon... But in places where I can stretch its legs a little, its giant steps better.

I bet rod's car on a faster track is nuts.
The car got settled once over 100 mph and braking was very straight and easy this time with a full load of fuel. ;) RA has some fun straights and nifty curves to keep you honest .. But that uphill front straight has a little bobble/dip in it I found just as the boost was hitting and I was overtaking a cute little lady in a blue GTI. that will keep you on yor toes for sure .. ;)

Nice. Still drooling over 15 inch wheels. I'm thinking about building my car for stx class next year just cause it's mods I'd like to have anyways. Would love to rock 15s

K there are a couple and about the only still pic I have of the weekend at RA of the car in track trim.
notice the ugly wheels with 205/50/15 Hoosier SM7's on skinny but they did a awesome job with the tires and track very impressed for only a 6.5 inch wide wheel. then I put my 8 inch one on for autoX on sunday but those are Hoosier A6's and did not want to wear them out lapping the bigger track as I need them some this year like Milwaukee over labor day for a HSAX at the Milw. Mile.
Hood Up and are running with blocks of wood to hold car in place so I did not have to set my parking brake and let the rotor cool without heat related issues. One thing I did notice is the heat melted or softed the taped on wheel weights and they moved or feel off next time after I flip the tires I will have old school weights hammered on.
Temps outside where 90 degF 60% humidity and the car ran flawless with no heat issues or rad problems other than letting it run for 5-10 min after to cool down as the fan does not run with car off all that long and the fluid does get warm.
only had 4 bars on the dash dummy light and was not data logging as i can only use one device at a time it seems my obd2 splitter did not play well with my Go point BT device and the Cobb cable so I opted for the Go point and Harry's lap time for my phone to capture data in the video. (Maybe it is the cool blue hoses that help keep the Rac fluid cool) J/K but the vents do work you can see the heat pouring out after a run..

One thing I did do before going to the track was address my shifter popping off issue by going back to one setting less the max and factory shift knob and height as the longer lever and longer throw seemed to not work best for me.. And I drilled the nylon cable end with 4 very small holes and routed the saftey wire though a couple of small holes I drilled on the shifter adjustment rod/square piece that holds the ball. then clamped on the twist tie pliers and spun the wire tight so if this ever popps off again i have bigger issues that a bad angle .. I did this cuz my zip tie fix was just not in the right place to hold the ball and they were getting tires and seemed to grow weak.

The straights at 4:05 and 4:50 you WALKED away from that Challenger. Was it one of the new 392? Also made me laugh to see a man in a collared buttoned shirt in an economy car laying the slapdown on big cube V8s

Whew what a weekend and now to get ready for almost the last event of the year for me and the MIlwaukee Mile and a little HSAX on the oval and inner road course..
But at Memphis we had fun and enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing in the Winning of our two show winners Hijinx and Pelotonracer2 Congrats again Guys well done and congrats on the raffle win Hijinx..
I got a pleasant surprise when Rebeldevil costums called my name for their Crew Choice award and thought enough of my build to give it their award.. Not sure if it was the car the build or the driver (Ron) but with the Help of my Great Sponsors Boomba,PCA with the help of Team Dynamics and Spec Clutches as well as All theOthers, And the Work and Effort the Gang at DHM put into the car earlier this year.. What a fun build this has been.. now with Fall coming it is time to think about next year and what we can get the car to do with a few tweaks .. But for now Thanks to ALL that helps this is part yours too..

Your FiST is a real work of moving art, such a great car with an awesome build! [wrenchin] It's also fast, precise and functional. [raceflag] It was great meeting you and Kathy at STFest. We had a great time and will definiately be going again next year! [:D]
