Always been someone who only works on my car to put on mods and stuff, but I’m trying to expand my knowledge 🧠. Can I get some advice on if my pads/rotors are in need of a change. Want to do a brake bleed while I’m at it too. Is it a simple enough thing for a beginner to do so I can start to learn to do more maintenance work. Thanks.

Looks like the pads still have a little life on them. It's worth buying a cheap caliper to have on hand, you can measure and compare to their minimum specs (google). If you're going to do a brake job, it's simple, just make sure you do it right. You'll need a wind back tool for the rear calipers, and you'll want bleeder bottle too.

Not stupid at all. We all did it for the first time at one point and were terrified our brakes wouldn’t work and we’d crash and die. A power bleeder from motive makes bleeding brakes super easy to do as a one person job. You can do it the old school way too, but you’ll need someone to help. Forscan can also do it the fancy way which I’ve tried but I prefer to use the power bleeder and just use forscan to cycle the ABS module so it gets some new fluid too.
