Just dont get one? lol You wont see any difference in performance with the exhaust. Weight you probably wont notice either but you will notice the cost.

FSWERKS is five-ish pounds lighter than stock, quiet most of the time, not too expensive, 2-1/2", and stainless steel. My $.02

I wasn;t planning on it... but I was beat out by 0.021 seconds by my main rival. I need everything I can get, lol

I thought going to a 3" exhaust gave gains of around 10hp/15tq
I'm not being an arse here, but that is all driver. 10hp won't let you beat him. For the price of some of the cat-backs you can already get a AP which will do WAY more for you than anything exhaust (for that price).

Also, cat-back won't give you much of anything as the OEM has been noted to flow well for the turbo. It's the downpipe.

Fair point, and I appreciate your input. However an AP would bump me into a whole other class and would end up hurting my times more than helping them. The cat is also something I can't touch, only the exhaust system back from there.

If I could gain 10hp, it would actually help me a lot more than you might think; my times were all within a few tenths of a second of one another (50.126, 50.274, 50.321). This event I ran just 2 tenths of a second behind my main competitor, at the practice event the day before was virtually the same thing.

Whatever I can do to squeeze out even a slight advantage is worth it for me. I am leaning towards just straight piping with 3" all the way back, and maybe finding a resonator for the middle to cut down on drone.

Good info, thanks. I think the FS works would also work better with my hitch.
Lightweight battery. Will that put you out of stock class? Cheaper and removes weight from where it is needed more...

Why wouldn't an exhaust make any difference ? What makes the Fiesta different than any other turbo car ? I have had STi's, 2G Eclipse, I have an Evo 8 and 10 and even just a catback allowed better flow for an initial mod ? or are you guys saying that there is no difference when you account for the dollar ? Working on back pressure never hurt in my experience... so kinda curious as to what makes the Fiesta different ? Hard to imagine its more complicated/sophisticated since the equation that makes the power in the Fiesta is an age old formula.. any turbo CRX was doing it over 15 yrs ago ..

The teeny tiny turbo.

I don't know about anybody else, but I did feel a small difference with a catback. I've got Cobb's. Love the sound. Doesn't really get annoying.

I would think you would gain more performance with Koni Yellows than a cat-back exhaust. That and stickier tires if you haven't gone that route already.

Keep in mind guys, exhaust systems most Manufacturers build for turbo cars these days are VERY well built. Its not the old days when mentioned above that an STI, EVO, DSM, SRT4 would see huge gains from opening up the exhaust. These factory systems are very well designed and built, they flow WELL from the factory. Without going turbo back and throwing on a tune, your gains will be extremely minimal.

Mostly just sound. I remember with my 2011 Mazdaspeed3, replacing the catback would net something stupid like a max of 1.5HP with a tune. Where as a turboback with a tune (and fuel pump internals, DOH) would net somewhere around 15-20hp.

The R&D done at the factory level is astonishing now as far as how well the product performs off the show room.
