It is welded to the frame, flat on the bottom, one of the liner mount holes is on it, the fender mount is a part of it further out.
Yea, that's the one. Fortunately I wasn't hitting it yet. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! :)

I have not yet made a part and used my dimple dies on this car so I will at least there even if not seen.

I have to make an ECU mount and will use it there but it will not show much it any, I will work on some ideas for the rear battery and washer bottle mount, amp and processor mounts, etc...

Tuning the EFR WG, got some great boost but had to back it down, 91 Octane, 5200 ft, great power but pulling a bunch of timing but at a bit less the car pulls harder anyway.

I am going to be quite pleased with this turbo setup I am sure when all dialed in but there is much to do with these modern boosted cars and the AP...whew!

I have no numbers to post, this is just the start, just glad to be at this point nearly 7 months after buying the car and working on it that long.

The rest of the car is incredible and I am looking forward to giving rides in it, I might be doing some serious laps in it with passengers next weekend in fact.

A few more things done or in progress for the 17th and 18th MMP outer loop HPDE, FAST course!

Carbotech XP12 Front, XP8 rear track pads ($ouch)

Steeda adjustable front sway bar mounts

Duct fabricated into undertray to draw air out of engine bay to aid in cooling

Installed front ARP wheel studs

Tuning in progress, getting better, will run a bit lower than max for track safety while dialing in the car and tune.

Which wilwood calipers and pad shape are you using?

I've been a little frustrated by the thinness of the DP6 caliper 6712 pads, good thing they are cheap, at least to what I am used to.

The DP6 pads are indeed very thin, I was looking into a caliper that had really think pads but found out they can have serious knock back unless have springs in them for that purpose but calipers like that are super expensive.

I decent use from the pads, it will help with the LSD because it should use the torque vectoring much less.

I almost bought even more expensive pads, the XP20 up front and XP12 for the rear but they might of taken to long to warm up and it was even more money.

Because I could not get the WW pads I wanted on time so I spent $414 shipped for the XP12 and XP8 over night shipped which was $77.

At some point I might make up a set of brakes with thicker pads if I have many issues, I can just measure it all and have mounts made and use the same hats, rotors, etc....

I thought I might be OK if I hooked up at least a temp bet of cooling ducts with the BP20 pads but I was informed by 949 Racing that they are just an upgraded street pad but not for road race tracks. They are great for street and even a decent autocross pad, why Razor melted his I am sure on the track. The BP10 might actually be better on track, I have them on and they are doing well with repeated 4th gear pulls coming back down to 50 in short order due to where I have to run my tuning pulls.

I have BP10's I bought for the street thinking the BP20 was a track pad, they came with the custom version of the 2J BBK I ordered, I would of ordered them with BP30 or a Polymatrix track pad if I knew better. I guess I need to sell them to somebody for street/autocross.

Nice thing about Wilwood is they publish the cf and temp plots of all their pads. You can easily see the BP10 and BP20 aren't even CLOSE to being track capable. Apparently I forgot all about that when I tried them on track. ;)

BP10 and BP20, BP10's will for SURE NOT be better than the 20's on track.

Compared to BP30:

Just a weeeee bit of difference. ;)

I might try the Compound H after I go through this set of BP30's as they seem to have the same curve as the BP30's but take the higher heat even better... however the price difference between BP30's and Compound H is a fair bit of a jump.

Your XP10's might be right around the same as BP30's as the XP10's look like a .60 Cf pad but might take the higher heat a little better.

Unfortunately they have this misleading info when you look up compounds and not look at the charts, total BS......

I did not order the pads, they came with the brakes and then I saw the info below so ordered some BP-10s for the street.....

I was going to order BP30 or one of the Polymatrix pads and H for the rear when I found out they BP-20 would not hold up but it was too late so ended up spending a fortune on the Carbotechs, which are great pads but damn expensive. I have used Carbotechs a number of times, once I was in a bind to get some for an event I was invited to at the last minute and I called them on a Thursday and have them on Saturday, custom made!

--------------------------------------

From Wilwoods site:

Application:

Medium to heavy braking dirt tracks.
Advanced level track day and club sport competition.
Extreme duty dual-purpose street/track vehicle.
High speed or heavy weight drag cars.
Hobby or sportsman category asphalt racing

-------------------------------

I could of used WW pads for half the price if I had known better and where I got the brakes should of advised me as well(

But, they will be here before 2 PM and on time to bed them in when I go do a couple more tuning runs, setting up a very safe tune for the track days, I need to fine tune more afterwards, no time now.

And they worked incredibly well no matter how hard I abused them, 9 sessions all out, 5 were 20 minutes, 4 were 25 minutes, the MMP outer loop is fast and have some slow corners so very hard late braking, pads still have a lot of life left in them:)

MMP is an awesome track with great facilities. I went out there back in 2008 supporting a Evo Time Attack car. Was a great time. The gokart track was awesome! I hope I can make it back there some day.

The car did a best of 1:45.47 there, enough for 2nd place in street AWD. I can't remember what track config though.

Must of been great fun:)

I am not sure about the track layout you ran but here you can see the TT event lap times on the outer loop, I may of really ran a 2:17 but for sure did a few in the 2:19 range

I think this shows the car was quite fast for the first time out and my first time on track in 6 or so years. I tried to cut and paste here but the format would not work.

These are all outer loop events, some show the wrong course length, it is 3.09 miles

http://nasautah.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10-18-2014_TT_ALL.pdf

If you look at this from earlier in the year I would say you were on the west track and very quick:)

http://nasautah.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/9-28-TT_all.pdf

Or on the east track, which seems slower to me, more technical though.

All the events, if interested in looking, no wonder I had many compliments including from pro racers about my lap times and I know the car and I can both be faster:)

I was probably there in 08 in a light blue Scion TC, Redline event, is that the one?

I finished second in class and would of won but put 5 holes in the block the second day due to a bad $1100 tune!!! I guess I was ripped off on that eh!
