Question for those who have had Recaro seats apart for Fost swap.

I've read description and seen pics of the seat bottom where there is a plastic piece riveted to the seat frame under the foam that gives the foam bolsters support. I've been unable to confirm if there is a similar piece in the seat back. Is there? Reason I ask is I'm 2 years into ownership and still not comfortable in the Recaros, too narrow in the seat back. If there is a piece of plastic in there think I will try taking the seat apart and hitting it with a heat gun to see if I can get a bit more width at the shoulders. Or has anyone come up with another solution for this issue?

Not sure about the FiST Recaros, but the FoST Recaros do NOT have a seat back side bolster made of plastic. Thats all foam bay-bay!

There is no plastic support in the seat backs of the Recaros (FoST or FiST).
