Makes me miss the old days when I could do a big 16G turbo upgrade on my DSM for $600 and then upgrade fuel system and get a DSMLINK for tuning and all 3 were under $1500 and the car was 320whp and 385wtq monster on the cheap, Sadly those days are long gone for us gearheads you gotta pay to play!!!!!!$$$$!!!!!!!

Holy crap that's expensive. But look at the tubular header and large radius downpipe. I would go out on a limb and say this can make more boost when pushed hard than the ATP kit.

More important it will have much better bottom end where you spend the majority of time in a street driven car, the ATP just will not be very good at that.

Be patient, there is a BW setup in the works for a butt load less money, I am waiting on a part to order my turbo and start rebuilding my DIY DP, etc...

If the manifold is not out soon I will order parts to weld or bolt to my highly ported stock manifold, I can get the turbo for a great price, etc...with tuning I am still under $2k using my DIY parts, etc.....

Even if you buy all the parts it will be much less than the Peron!

I was thinking the same thing.

The manifold is a bunch of money and would spool the turbo a bit faster if made right but as mentioned, lots of heat and they tend to crack much sooner than a cast manifold, it is more for the racer mindset or showoff, to me at least.

There is a very reasonable cast manifold in the works and it all goes well it would be the wise choice for a street driven machine if you want lower maintenance.

The DP is not hard to build, I will make my own from what I have or start from scratch, even with a cat, flanges, etc....$200 in materials max.

The rest of the piping is really not needed, much simpler versions are easy to make for a good price.

On the very low end we might have a bolt on solution for just over $2k but I would budget more like $2500, pure speculation but by somebody that has been around a very long time, made my own kits, have wholesale accounts, know what it costs to ship, time to make things, test them.....A really nice EFR kit for $2500 would be a great price, if closer to $2k a hell of a deal.

That does not include final tune but today we can do that via data logging and email, dyno really not needed unless you just want the bragging rights, really good tunes generally are done in real world situations.

Looks like they are starting to tune with this turbo

P3XX turbo kit
Stock cat-back exhaust
Stock intercooler
Stock everything apart from the turbo kit and Sitech Racing intake.
Production flash 1.3bar
Only 18.8psi

With 93oct and meth, plus more boost

Bigger runners P3XX 314whp - 350hp Fiesta ST @ 1.8bar (1.6bar plenum)
93 octane Full exhaust, intercooler and meth etc

Production kit P3XX 255whp - 290hp Fiesta ST @ 1.3bar (1.2bar plenum)
93 octane stock exhaust, intercooler and no meth.

I was writing up my post before the new posts came out.......

I have no interest in Meth, been there, done that, pain in the arse to keep it filled, buy, store, etc........I just want to run pump gas I can get anywhere but I am building the whole car to be fast in all ways so I can live with less power than most.

I've seen Breaking Bad. Meth isn't good for anyone. LOL.

Holy late torque peak! 4500!

Pretty cool they can make that kind of power on an otherwise stock engine.

I had no doubt it could make that kind of power but was very concerned about the power under the curve, daily driving, getting out of harms way, NOW, etc....if we just had 1.8L or even better 2.0, we could have it all.

Rick, if your set up with the modded turbo can efficiently produce at least 280whp I may go that route. But 300 with room to grow just sounds more fun :D

Honestly I want torque to hit a little later and not as hard since the car is FWD. 5,000 is a bit too late but I bet a lot of that is the tube header. Short cast manifolds will spool quicker than long tube headers but the long tube headers will have more top end.
