I have 1/2 way removed the expansion tank and all the fasteners are out (including the front stud) but I can't get the thing out.

It looks like it should lift off but might be cocked a bit.

What is the trick?

Hopefully someone that knows chimes in, but I would imagine the motor might have to be supported from the bottom with a jack to pull the mount off? Maybe the weight on the mount is somehow preventing it from coming off?

Well I got the motor mount in but in the process I snapped part: C1BZ-8B081-J, overflow hose. Its a cheap part but now I need to find one.

The motor mount trick is you need to jack up the motor from below.

Very obvious but no one says it.

Thanks for the help.

Yes it needs to be jacked.. Sorry for late response. Mine was so broken I could rock the engine by hand. Always use a jack to support the engine when changing the mount

I got the new hose and installed it.

The install was very easy and the replacement part is a molded rubber hose rather than the half molded plastic and half rubber piece that broke.

I don't think there is any chance that the new part will fail before it rots so I'm happy with that.

I suggest that anyone with the half plastic hose and a busted motor mount order the replacement hose with the motor mount just in case. It is cheap insurance.

I would say if you have the half plastic hose remove it before the motor mount to avoid cracking it but I had to cut off the original on the rubber end, I don't think I could have saved it even if I knew to remove it for the motor mount replacement.
