Hey guys, I'm getting a P2282 trouble code after recently installing a turbosmart plumb back BOV and Damond motorsports catch can with VTA. I checked all the lines and hoses and they all seem to be OK. I haven't had a chance to get under the car since it's now snowing and 30 degrees in Ohio but I'm hoping to do some preliminary troubleshooting. I also plugged in my AP and watched some gauges and noticed my boost wouldn't go any higher than 14 psi or so. I'm on a stage 2 stratified tune so it should be around double that...
I'm thinking first I need to check the oil catch can VTA one way check valve as it's the most recent mod from about 2 weeks ago. I already verified that the catch can outlet valve was closed properly (and leaked oil all over my drive when I did it, it's amazing how much oil these pick up!). Could it possibly be that I need to adjust my BOV? Or possibly a leak at the reference adapter? I did pinch the vacuum hose to the BOV and noticed a change in pitch to the engine. Since I also am only getting 14 psi of boost, could it be a boost leak and mean I need to check all my intercooler piping? I upgraded the intercooler over the winter but had solid 26+ psi boost levels after doing it and I doubled up on clamps on the intercooler.
If nothing else I may switch back to the stock PCV hose and remove the catch can for a couple days to see if I can isolate that as the issue, since I can do that pretty quickly even if it's freezing outside. Thankfully I didn't swap to summer wheels yet this year... Any other ideas to look at?
