I have a 2015 big turbo fiesta st & Recently I had water get into the tmap sensor which caused the wires to the sensor to corrode, & the tmap sensor to fail. This caused p0236 & p0238 codes. The sensor I originally had was a 3.5 bar aftermarket sensor but i decided to replace it with the factory 3 bar. I replaced the wiring with a new pigtail & connector, then plugged in the 3 bar, & let my tuner know i changed to the factory sensor. I receieved the updated tune & still am receiving the p0236 code but also getting the P2227 code. If i reset the codes with the cobb ap3 the car runs just fine with 0 issues. When i turn the car off & then back on, these codes immediately pop up & car goes into limp mode.
At this point I’m, thinking it could be the factory sensor since it’s a 3 bar & not a 3.5 bar like previous before the sensor was corroded? I’ve been told that the pcm could have been shorted as well from this water corrosion to the tcbs, but it seems unlikely?
Any ideas what my problem could be?
