Order Date/Build Date/Delivery Date Thread

Sweet! Didn't notice the ETIS update, thank you! I asked Meagan from Ford Service for any ETA and as we speak, the car is supposed to be delivered on June 8th.
So timbo, yours should arrive near this date. When did you order, late or beginning of march? I ordered on february 25th.

I actually got a July 8th ETA from Meagan which doesn't make a whole lot of sense given that I entered production right behind you and we are probably on the same shipping lane. I think Ford customer service has started giving out conservative ETAs to keep us from being too disappointed when they can't meet our expected wait times. I've seen a couple posts about receiving delivery ~1 month ahead of ETA.

I actually ordered March 19 (with a priority 1 order) so I've made up some ground on you. Your June 8 ETA seems pretty optimistic seeing as shipping times are around ~4 weeks from build date at their best. Maybe the last of the 2014s are shipping faster now?

Hey everyone, bran new to the forum. Ordered mine bout 3 weeks ago. Dealer told me bout 6 weeks but after reading some of you alls experiences, looks like it's gonna be a while before it shows up....psyched tho! So, is 9-12 weeks realistic?

Welcome! 9-12 weeks is way more than you'll ever need. 6 weeks seems to be the average.

Did anyone actually get a 6 week delivery? The fastest I've seen is 7 weeks. Purely anecdotal observation, but I think the average lead time is 8-12 weeks depending on when it was ordered and where you live.

Dealer promised me 4-6 weeks. Not sure if the sales guy was clueless or lied to me...

ETIS updated with a build date of May 14, 2014! Maybe our cars will be train buddies on the way to Canukistan?

If you ordered three weeks ago, it must have been a 2015 MY, which aren't even starting to be built until June 2nd. I ordered my 2015 on April 14th and it is apparently being built the fist part of June, I don't expect it to be delivered until early to mid July. My dealer told me 8 to 12 weeks from order date. But hey, hopefully they do come sooner than expected.

Hey Soulabrova,

ETIS is Ford's vehicle tracking system. I think its used primarily for fleet management but all Ford vehicles are posted into the system with their VIN and build details. When you receive your VIN you will be able to see your vehicle (with no details and a cryptic build date). When your vehicle is built, the build date field will show a real date (the day your vehicle was built).

It took a number of calls/emails to get my VIN from my dealer. If you know your sales order and dealer code, you can message the Ford Customer Service Rep (Meagan) and she might be able to help you out. It typically takes a few weeks to get your VIN. Mine took 3 weeks, some people got it the next day others waited almost 2 months. You might want to give your dealer a call.

Nice! Hopefully they won't take too much time to put them on the rails... But are you sure your ETA is July 8th and not June 8th ?! I really need the car for end-may, beginning of june :/

And Soulbrova, just for your info, I am currently on my 11th week of waiting and my car should come on 14-15th week... I don't think how 6-8 weeks could be possible at this time

The whole 6-8 weeks thing is way off. There's not many of us who got our cars within that time frame. Mine was around 12 week from order to delivery.

Alright, dealer just emailed, said my car is scheduled for assembly the week of June 9th. Ordered April 14th, got VIN on May 2nd.
