So about a month ago I made the decision to delete my muffler. I wanted a way to give my exhaust more sound and character without emptying my shallow pockets. I knew I would get some drone, but it’s a lot worse than I expected when cruising on the highway in the 3k-3.5k range. I actually enjoy the way it sounds just driving around town, which is mostly all I do, but I am considering options to fix it.
I would love to buy the thermal catback, but $800 seems pretty steep to not get any performance gains. I have heard that the vibrant ultra quiet resonators work pretty well and I am thinking about trying that but am worried that it won’t fix my problem and I’ll end up spending near the same amount trying to get rid of the drone as I would just going with the thermal.
Anyone here running the vibrant resonator? If so what diameter did you get, do you still have the stock resonator, did you put it in the place of the muffler or resonator, and did it fix the drone?
