I guess every driver ends up here because this is the most fun car I've ever driven. Test drive one and fell in love. I sold my E64 M6 about a year ago. Still have my E91 wagon. Owned an MS6 with a ton of upgrades, an S13 240sx with upgrades, swapped h22 cb7 Accord, VR4 3000gt, two dsm turbos, a 944 turbo...and more, but this is the most fun to drive by a mile...sans VR4, but it was a pos. Glad to be here and I'll have a ton of questions. Flew down and drove my new to me FiST 6 hrs back. Just put lighter Sparco wheels and new nittos on her and it's even more go carty. I got a set of springs otw, but I think I'm gonna wait till it's time to do the struts and shocks because this factory suspension is on point. Has small, but necessary upgrades already like rear mount, intercooler, cobb and stratified tune, drop in filter, bov...but I really don't feel like I need to do anything else right now. Fixed the blower ticking thing and a weeping gasket. The wheels are 17lbs each and I didn't know unsprung weight made that much of a difference. Anyway..i'm glad to be here.

great color.

there is always the big turbo...
Ugghh...so tempting. I know. I see the rabbit hole goes deep, but i might be mature enough to save myself from myself at this point...maybe 🤣🤣🤣. There seems to be a whole other FiST community across the pond so that makes the options/upgrades almost infinite!

Almost! The only trouble is getting them to ship stuff to us, plus finding reasonable rates if they will ship overseas.

these cars are so fun stock. e30 wakes the car up. i would recommend getting a tune for that if you have access to E in your area

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I don't think we have e30 around here...at least not easily accessible.

Now here's the question. Should I install these Whiteline springs now, or sit on em till the shocks and struts go bad? They have about 40k on em as of today.

How much do you hate looking at the ride height? If it doesn’t bother you I wouldn’t bother until replacing shocks and struts. I hated the fender gap so I did not wait.

If i said it's bothering me more than it logically should, would it make me a bad person?🤣🤣

I would ride them out until they are toast personally, especially as the stock stuff is pretty damn decent. I have 48k on mine and still great. I bought someone else takes off a few years back for like $150 or something with 9k miles to replace, but no signs of degradation yet.

Not inherently.
If I were you, I'd go for Bilstein B8 shocks/struts & use those lowering springs.
I have B14's on my E91 and the ride is better than stock, and looks better. I didn't think I'd go so far with this car because the handling was great anyway. Thinkin I'll get B8's when these blow, or...just get B8's. Or...expeditiously blow out these factory shocks with the whitelines and use that as an excuse to get coils, then sell the whitelines here. Love getting a new to me car!

I may be biased, but Bilstein dampers and a LSD should have been options on the car from the factory.
If Bilsteins are going to dial this thing in better than it already is, then I'm just going to wait till after Christmas season and get some B8's. Whitelines arrived today.
