How did you go about deleting the sunroof? I’ve wanted to do the same

forgot to mention, great 65f weather and settled on 41psi front and 40psi rear, hot tire pressures.

much better tire wear and no rollover compared to 33-35 hot tire temps

With whatever ride height you are at with those coil overs/spring rates, and that camber, are you rubbing that setup at all, anywhere, under any conditions (braking while turning in the 'corkscrew' or elsewhere, even though you are not supposed to be doing that for fast times, power on at apex exits, wheel lifting turns, etc.) with that wheel/tire setup, on that track?

yes theres very slight rubbing that happens when I park and steering at full lock. usually its a mild pop. didnt have any rub when my camber was -2 front, -1 rear. no rub anywhere on Laguna Seca (or Streets of Willow) No rub even right before the corkscrew and had coaching on where on the lines to take at Laguna.

should also add my fenders are rolled and slightly pulled.

if I had to guess, the rub might be from bolt inside the front fenders which I will eventually trim down.

btw - Laguna is a fantastic track. very addicted and going back in dec with my cahmero

THANKS!

Just trying to get a read on how badly that size A052s (like 0.1" wider tread width, same section width, 0.2" taller than the Z3s,) on a 16x8, 40ET Dekagram will rub on a factory ride height, minimally cambered, and un-pulled fender, un-trimmed fender mounting bolt FiST.

How much weight did you save? Any pictures from the inside? Did you leave it like that on the outside or try to blend it?
Not sure exactly, I'd estimate the stock sunroof components as maybe 40ish lbs, but I did not weigh it, and in my case it wouldn't have been a fair comparison cuz what prompted me to do this was my sunroof breaking in the first place.
I left the exterior as is, I kinda like the industrial, racecar vibe it gives the car. I've thought about painting it at some point, but unsure.

Couple updates here.
1. Chuckwalla Raceway (Sept 18, 2021)- 2:15.345
No changes in mods from Buttonwillow back in July. First time on this track on a super hot day.

2. Streets of Willow Springs CCW (Nov 5, 2021) - 1:29.506
Only change was running 215/45/16 BFGoodrich Rival S 1.5 tires on the 16x7 Sparcos.

3. Willow Springs International Raceway AKA Big Willow (Jan 15, 2022) - 1:39.072
Only change was running the same BFGoodrich tires on new 16x8 Konig Dekagrams. Screenshot_20220115-185920.jpg Screenshot_20220115-190247.jpg Screenshot_20220115-112426.jpg

Buttonwillow: 13CW 2:09.415

s280 on 91 octane with full Interior
M factory lsd
Rt660
St xta coil overs with track alignment and corner balancing.

The car got really hot at the tail end of the day and I realized later that it still had a bubble in it. I think this car currently is capable of a 2:05. I’m leaving some in the table with my braking reservations. I need to get more comfortable there and getting to the limit.
