Hey everyone, i’m pretty new here and this will be my first post. Got a 2014 FiST in June and have been loving it.
Was wondering if anyone knows why pressing my ESC button or holding it down does nothing. Also in the vehicle settings the only option available is hill assisit. Sport/track mode are nowhere to be found. My codes are clear and I have struggled to find anyone else with this problem.
Thanks for any help.

It should illuminate on the guage cluster (yellow). Press ESC once to enable sport mode and hold for five seconds to disable.
I read the same thing in my manual and online but the ESC button doesn’t do anything at all no matter how long or short I press it.

I wonder if your car has been flashed with an aftermarket tune that disables it. I'm not sure which tunes do this, or if it's possible, but that would be my suspicion. It's also possible the button is faulty or isn't plugged in.

I'd check if you have launch control. At a stop, press the clutch and hold the gas pedal down. If it goes to around 4k RPMs and holds there your car has been flashed with a tune. If it doesn't hold at an RPM then you don't have launch control.

You could also check if you can "switch tunes". Not all tunes do this so it isn't a reliable test. Turn off cruise control and then hold the + arrow on the steering wheel. If your RPM gauge goes to 1000 RPM and holds there you have a tune.

I might have the + arrow wrong. You may have to hold the cruise button for a second before it activates. I forget which it is. You can find this info pretty easily though.

I thought about that and fiddled around with it before to see if it was flashed but didn’t have any luck getting launch control to work. I just got an accessport and installed the base cobb tune and thought it might solve the problem but no luck. Also the traction control still goes off any time my wheels slip so it’s definitely not completely deactivated. I’ll have to check out the button when I get some time and make sure it’s plugged in.

This would be something that can be controlled by Forscan & it might be the case someone turned it off if there isn’t a light illuminated on the dash.
