Hey all! I've been lurking around here for info, prior to and after getting my new Fiesta. Finally made a profile and decided I may have stuff to contribute every now and then. I'm currently running at about of 2 months of ownership, current mileage just over 2k. Here's a novel for anyone who cares to read it about how I got here...

I've always been a truck guy due to my hobbies mostly being offroad stuff. I've always been a Toyota guy, then met my wife 11 years ago. She and her whole family are die hard Ford people. My father in law was only accepting, not approving lol, that I was a Toyota guy. Well I let them sway me and I ended up with a Ford Ranger. I did some mods, as I do with everything I own lol, to the Ranger and drove the wheels off of it. It was time for a new truck and went back to Toyota for a '13 Tacoma. Well, my wife has always been into Mustangs... every since she got her license. She is currently on ownership of Stang number 3 and 4. I ended up getting bit by the fast car bug. I wanted my own, a '15 GT with 6-speed manual.

Whenever my wife and I leave the area, we rent cars. A local car rental place occasionally has awesome cars, Mustangs, Challengers, Cameros, all V8s w/ manuals. They even have had a few Focus and Fiesta ST's. I ended up renting a Fiesta ST from them last year after hearing how awesome and fun they were... I was hooked. But it took me awhile to make up my mind, I kept bouncing back and forth between getting my own Stang, or a FiST. I have always like the idea of having a fun little rocket, but was also drawn to the raw power of the GT Stang. What pushed me to finally pull the trigger on a FiST was anytime we would go anywhere with friends or family, we would end up taking my truck due to being a four door. I guess you could say I wanted the more "practical" vehicles as my wife will always be into Stangs. She ended up finding me a sweet deal on a new '16, Kona Blue, FiST in San Diego. We made the trip, picked her up, and I've been stoked ever since!

I had all the mods planned out for the FiST, but quickly found out the '16s had that lame intake change... bummer. So I've been on hold waiting for a full intake to be released. Right now I'm torn between the CPE or Cobb intakes... when they do come out. When I get the intake I will also being doing the FMIC, down pipe, and tune. Days after my FiST came home, I did the roof rack, mud flaps, and Injen exhaust. I've been stoked with the Injen exhaust but am jonesing to continue with the mods to get it where I want it. So now I play the waiting game...

Well enough of the story of my life lol, hope you enjoyed it!

Welcome!

Honestly you aren't missing out on much. Unlike most cars the intakes on these care are actually pretty nice (airbox is designed well, it actually sucks in cold air), on this platform an aftermarket intake is more for looks. A bolt on FMIC + tune seems to show the highest gains per buck. If you want some eye candy, these look pretty good in red.

welcome! I bought a 16 and put on the only intake i could find, an injen that was compatible for the 16. I only wanted it to hear the turbo and bov better. it worked for that. I read around these parts that the injen gets heat soaked which im not overly concerned about but when there are better options I may switch to something else.
