Hoosier just announced their new 200tw tire. I can't wait to get my hands on these. Currently on 18/19 sizes are in stock. More sizes should come soon. No signs of 16" plans for all the 16" crowd.

Looking at the comparison charts they seem to offer a little more life compared to the R7 but a little less performance everywhere else.
And compared to the ECF, it offers better dry braking and handling but less wet handling, comfort and life.

One cool thing to note is that these tires are made in the good ol USA right in Indiana. That may be a reason for the higher cost. If anyone is a fan of supporting the USA instead of overseas this could play a roll.

Any even slight chance of them making these in even a 17" size we could possibly use??
(I figured since you had an inside track of sorts to the Conti/Hoosier marketing and grassroots motorsports departments, they might tell you.)

Even though Nitto itself is far from a 'Muricun company, their Neo Gens on my car currently, are made here.

They have plans to make 4 sizes in 17". Two of them seem usable for fiestas and that is 225/40 and 225/45. There will also be a 245/40 and 255/40 size. The 225/40 will be available before the end of the year. the rest will not be available until next year.

One of my friends has a set coming for a 265 so that is exciting.

Also these tires are looking to be very light weight. A 285/30/18 RE71RS weighs in at 27.8 pounds , which is pretty light for an 18 in that size, but the Hoosier in 295/30/18, a taller and wider tire, comes in at 23.2 pounds. That is a 4.6 pound difference in weight PER TIRE.

for reference a 205/50/15 RT660 will weigh in at 19.6 pounds.
and a 225/45/15 RT660 will weigh in at 22.3 pounds.
An AO52 in 295/35/18 will weigh in at 27.6 pounds

I can't wait to see how low in weight the Hoosier tire is in a 205/50/15
