New fist owner in Pittsburgh Pa ran into P0462

Hii fellow fist owners and enthusiasts. I have just bought a 2018 fiesta st magnetic at 80k files a month back. Its complete stock non recaro base fist. Its worth every praise.
BUT it has a permanent CEL its P0462. Gauge sticks at E/F intermittently. Low fuel indicator when gauge at E. when stuck at E/F miles to empty goes blank. Tried on all fuel levels other than empty. No idling/ fuel issues/ no boost issues.
Tried everything other than ecu flash.
1. Checked fuel sender (found ok). Even then replaced it.
2. Checked ground. No issues found.
3. Did IPC check in test mode. Found ok. Gauge works in test mode.
4. Tried techron fuel cleaner as step1. Two runs no impacts.
5. Checked fuses and relays. Replaced fuel pump relay as a test.
6. battery disconnect tried multiple times. Ecu soft reset by crossing disconnected terminals.
7. Replaced evap canister as suspect( not required but in rage of frustration)
8. No other code than P0462. Thought on board diagnosis is crazy so tried introducing other errors and thats its fine)

Planned fixes.
ECU flashing/ refurbished ECU.

Request help on what am I missing?
Members in Pittsburgh, any good shop which specialises in fist issues?
Car drives excellent otherwise.

I’m in Pittsburgh too. Got a FiST in June so haven’t had it in a shop other than my inspection place. They are good and have a few locations’Ryan Automotive Goodyear’. I’ve been to several. The one in Moon is my current shop. They take care of my Caddy and my wife’s Acura pretty well.

Moon Twp Ford has been surprisingly competent with my Raptor if you want to try Ford.

Thanks. Will try Ford dealer as my last option. I have an appointment with Community motors this month end through my mechanic friend who has worked with them on electrical issues. Just wanted to see if there are some weakpoints I am not noticing. Checked ecu connections and dont see a corrosion. Also issue comes in intermittently without any specific pattern.

I know forscan is key for diy diagnostics on the Raptor, otherwise Fords computers can see more than other places scanners.

Update: installed forscan and got the vgate cable delivered. Scanned and found B1053-11-08 code which points to ipc module. But IPC works good in test mode. So my mechanic friend is pretty sure that it’s ecu and we need to test ecu thoroughly. Last option is used ipc.
Good news: have forscan running (didnt buy programming licence yet).
Bad news: issue is still a mystery.

Wont pass PA inspection with a light on - was in the local Ford for other stuff with a liight, they quoted me $140 for diagnostics...at least you'd know.

Its funny, i bought it from Luther ford in Homer city and it has stickers valid till next year. They act as if it’s news to them. Lost all my trust in Ford dealers. Cant trust them with my car anymore.

ran forscan tests on IPC (ipc_forscan_capture.png) and PCM(capture.png) modules. FLI (in tank level) is detected as 100% and IPC senses 0%. Does PCM know fuel level before IPC? or through IPC. Any ford gurus on the forum pls help!!

Breakthrough!!!! Followed the ipc errors and diagnostics. Disconnecting and Reconnecting the c220a and b connectors to ipc, forscan reboot seems to have resolved the issue. Drove 85 miles without cel. If error returns will put a new used ipc. Does putting a salvage ipc involve reprogramming keys for fiesta st?
Should had been ok on old fuel pump. But wth.
Appreciate all the help.

No cel but Fuel guage still stuck around 3/4. Fuellevel parameter in ipc is 200% !!!. Ipc is the prime suspect but will double check fuel level sender resistance (180ohm e-10ohm f) . Suspect ipc has a glitch. Loaded factory config thru forscan but no improvement. Got a salvage ipc ( matching part number and lesser mileage) . Any links for programming (should connect new ipc while car running and loaf as built) the ipc or is it plug and play?

found one old thread which says needs loading asbuilt file to new ipc. Don't have detailed steps.
Any links will be appreciated. I have forscan trial licence so should be ok as diy.

Just logging it here. 1. Fuel sender in range 2. No ipc dtc errors in forscan 3. Salvage ipc plug and play 4. Abs and tc light on 5. Fuel guage on new ipc is 65% on full fuel tank 6. Miles to empty is 300+ miles 7. Unfortunately Ford dealership is only unexplored option 8. Give up on fuel gauge entirely !! 9. Sell the car. Move on.
