Don't forget about tax and if aren't buying outright, financing.
I have been using autotrader loan calculator to check the prices minus tag and title.

When im ready financially ( not upside down with my current car) in about 1-2 months, i will start test driving some ST's. too bad i can't find recaro package with in 30 miles near me. I do have a ford dealership 2 miles away from me which will
Be convenient with warranty issues.
The dealer that is near you will be willing to bring in the one that is so many miles away. I wouldn't necessarily anticipate having any warranty issues; and even if so, can visit any Ford dealership for warranty work.

Mine was NOT "great" and they gave it to me with ZERO down.
Thats great, trying to keep my credit score at excellent so i can buy some investment condo in 2 year. Thats why im trying to find a car thats fun and is relatively affordable.

I will probably call the dealership near me and see if they can do something. They have 0 ST mostly trucks and mustang. Its waybe akers ford.

The factor which pushed me to ORDER my FiST (and wait STUPID amounts of time to get it), was that the closest one that my dealer could deal with/get their hands on, was over 75 miles away, and I was NOT willing to trust their drivers to treat it 'kindly' on the drive back (they also REFUSED to let me ride along on the car's pick up [mad]).
A LOT of damage could be done to MANY systems (clutch, transaxle, powertrain, etc.) of a brand new car in that many miles if the driver so desires. [:(]

And yes, one could say that anything done would be covered under warranty (but HOW do you PROVE that the damage was done by the dealer's driver, when it might not show up until LATER, and WHO wants that bother on a brand new car YOU had NO responsibility in damaging?!?).

One may also ask WHY would a driver risk losing his job just to get a few hooning 'jollies' in, but then why would even higher paid 'techs' be willing, and do it blatantly (we've ALL heard these horror stories, if not witnessed them ourselves)???

Have you seen how they break in the engines at the factory? Unless their is already a defect, or they're doing something stupid, like red-lining in one spot for a length of time, playing Dukes of Hazard off a speed-hump, it will take a fair amount of hard driving without issue. (Still, doesn't mean we want anyone other than ourselves to do it.) If they abuse the clutch, you're going to smell evidence of it, for some time after having done so. They don't need to leave the parking lot to jack the car around. Caught a mechanic joy-riding in my prior car (a Ford Escort) many years ago... no discernible damage because the engine was literally pulling 86% of the book's spec compression at over 310k miles. Regardless, this was just another reason why I work on my own vehicles. Back when the compounds were different, it wasn't unusual to hear tire screeching around the dealership parking lots. With modern tire and pavement compounds, it (thankfully) takes a lot more effort to produce noises when slipping the tires.

Even with all that foreknowledge and experiences, I did have my vehicle delivered to the dealership with 480 miles on it.

Wait they drive it back to the dealer? Not transport it? If i am the driver, i will probably do a little spirited driving. I don't think there is anyway they can check if i did a little hard cornering , slight drifting.. hahaha.. but if its my car, than i would be nervous to. I would just probably drive there to get my car from that dealership. That is probably my choice when i will order mine. I think the farthest would be 500 miles.

The dealer I dealt with (VERY regrettably! [:(]), said they will CHARGE ME (HUNDREDS of $$$$!!) for the transportation costs IF I requested, or even demanded that option, vs. no charge for the driver to drive it back.

IF I had the capability at the time, to travel 500 miles for this car, I would have found a way to get to Koons Ford in Baltimore, and bought a car on site, for THOUSANDS LESS than what I paid at my shitty local dealer in the first place.

It's like they KNEW that had me by the balls, and took maximum advantage of my situation. [mad]
(But then they got paid back in SPADES with my horrific review of their sales staff/manager, and stealership in general to Ford Corporate in the survey. [wink])

To each their own, but I personally was NOT willing to take that chance, and trust their 'drivers', exactly because of the reason you gave of your OWN experience of the tech, or 'lot boy' hooning around the dealership grounds in your older car.

Unlike many (most??) on here, I MUST keep this car for a LONG time into the future, possibly until I am either in the ground, or no longer have the capacities to drive any longer.
I CANNOT just trade it in on the 'latest and greatest' new hoonmobile to come onto the market, and convince myself that I am "bored of" THIS car in a year or two, as so many on here have done! [nono]

BLESS THEM though, IF they have that much 'disposable income' coin laying around to be able to do just that, ALL the more power to them, but I CANNOT! ;)
(So I MUST do everything I can to make THIS car "go the distance", and that means avoiding ALL chances of low life, knuckle dragging, idiots "j***ing off" with MY car, and effing it up for ME!!)

While your fears are justified, for the aforementioned reasons, I believe you're overstating them. If the cars are so delicate as to be damaged from a little joy riding, they wouldn't last beyond 100k.

I mainly buy certified pre owned just to so i don't have to pay depreciation, so i donmt mind having someone drive my car but if i buy a brand new car i would want the mileage about less than a 100.
I have gone 4 year when i had my MS3 not having to go to the dealership or any autoshop for any maintenance or repairs because i don't trust them working on my car. The only time i went to the dealer is for my slave cylinder since when it happened i was on the road and i had to have it diagnose real quick and they only charge me $300 for the fix it, so i had them replace it.

Thank you for all the members that replied, hopefully soon i can get my Fiesta ST. Im just hopping that ford service center is as pleasant as with my bmw service center. My service advisor right now is really good, and have me worry free with all warranty services, free loaner even with just an oil change. But my car is just soooo boring lol .

I purchased my ST in december. It was a 2016 new with 15 miles.The Ford website vehicle finder and calling dealers were not very useful. I live in South Florida and drive my car about 75 miles daily.....What I did, I used truecar.com and put the exact specs od what I wanted. Lo and behold, got a call from a dealer who had one..black with recaro orange seats and black rims....got 5000 in rebates...i financed 19500....really love the car...did fordperdoemance catback, drop in k&n and cobb stage 1...car is a beast.....The heat so far has been a non factor...Good luck man.

thanx man, i will try truecar tomorrow. so far i contacted a couple of places and have given my offer but no reply yet which i don't mind at this moment since im not 100% ready. i just needed about 1 more month to get my finance ready since i want to put down about 3-5k down payment. My current offer to the dealers that i have email is about $20,500 before TTL with recaro seat.

While I know I don't live in the hottest state, I think it is close for extremes between seasons. Not had a problem with the car yet, hottest weather it has seen is 87F, coldest is -6F, and I've owned it for less than 3 months. It also sees altitude from 5000 feet to 11000 feet at least 3 days a week.
