Got a 2011 SES for $600, its worn out with 160k miles. But the title is clean and the body is perfect. Then I got a salvage 2017 ST with 31k on it for $3200. Not a devastating side impact. I put a tire on it from the 2011 and it rips. Even has brand new oil in it. Someone loved that car. Interior is spotless. But the title is salvage and fixing it, branding it ect, na to much money. So here I am, a Ford tech by trade, that got bored on copart on day. Im guna FiST that SES into a fake ST. Bumpers, hood, fenders, driver side doors, passenger side handles, dash, everything is moving on over. Curious how long its going to take me. Going to do a wrap on it cause half blue half orange will be.... I just cant. Color for wrap ideas welcome. I do like this Orange.

So I just got the ST home Monday. One of my bays has an acadia dead in it, I need to keep my lift open, and im not doing a swap on that scissor lift. Going to start with some body stuff Wed. Hatch swap, pull rear bumper and side skirts, headliner (easy cause curtains went off from impact), driver seat, ill pull passenger seat and take it home to takes it cover off for the sewing machine guy to stitch up, then go home. Ill swap the rear suspenson Thursday. Friday i want it get the engine/front subframe and suspension yanked pulled from the blue car/dropped on roller and push back. Saturday hope to rip the ecoboost out and get it all ripped out dropped and rolled out. sunday blue comes back in and in goes the st stuff until it rolls. Next week is the remining parts to get it fired up, pull and swap dashes and body harnesses really. I need fuel tank and lines..... what else?

Got the hatch swapped out. Did this just for the wing and newer wiper motor. Got the rear bumper and side skirts pulled, driver seat swapped and passanger pulled. Rear interior trim pulled, well the top half anyway. I,m changing out the 2011 white parts with the black from the st. Headliner pulled from ST but curtains did go off. Not sure I'm going to be able to work the wrinkle out. Ill source a new black one if I cant get it to behave a little better. I can deal with a crease in it but not it pulling away from the weather stripping. Looks funny orange and blue, I knew it would. Had to work later then I wanted so wasn't able to get rear swapped, but its only 10 bolts, 4 for shocks and 6 on pivot mounts. 2 brake lines and parking cables..... those will probably take long then I want. looks like I need to drop the exhaust on both cars.
Think I have settled on a color..... almost the same as my purple S to the left over there. Thinking of giving this stuff a shot. https://metrorestyling.com/products/kpmf-matte-iced-amethyst-titanium-vinyl-wrap-k75568 should hopefully look a lot like this purple guy.
Time invested so far 2hrs.

What the hell kind of insurance are you guys using??? My fiesta is $44/month for 250/500 with collision and “other than collision” at a $500 deductible.

Also this build looks fun. Are you swapping the full ST drivetrain over?

Ok some updating. Got the rear suspension swapped over. got them there disks in the rear Thursday night. Stupid drums gone. 3 more hrs
Friday night I got the engine 95% pulled. just hanging there, the ol' dangler some called it. Hood, bumper, fenders, all pulled. 4hrs
Came in this morning and got it this far and got the fuel tank, lines, abs modual, master cylinder all pulled. Engine is out, Struts pulled.
Throwing this update out there, headed back to shop after getting some lunch. Orange is sitting on dollys. Need to get blue back in to drop the front suspension and swap that over so orange can be rolled out. Blue will then start to be stripped. want engine out of blue tonight, and to have dash and rest off wiring pulled from orange before i leaved tonight. Tmrw fingers crossed i can it stripped out and wiring transferred, dash hung and engine installed. at least enough to drive the car. then ill worry about body work, and getting it buttoned up over the next week. but need these bays cleared out before Monday or someone will be upset probably lol.

Oh man. This sure seems like a lot of work to swap a cracked serp belt but the guy at the store assured me this was the best way to do it.
blues engine is out, hood and bumper off. front suspension swap onto orange. she rolls again now. jsut be careful with that flintstones power as you only have parking brake to stop you. didn't replumb those old brakes. Got a hell of a mess made, but parts are starting to find there way onto blue now. Not sure what to do next...... pull and swap dashes/wairing or stuff the ecoboost into blue. hmmm

The replacement serp belt will quickly crack as well. It's just what they do. Replace according to maintenance schedule and will be fine. Only exceptions may include pulley failure or living on a race track at high RPM.

State Farm, coverage similar to my other cars - $159/month - I am in my 50's with a clean record...its almost 2x what my F350 costs.
OMG don't get me started on auto insurance raking in the profits... one division of one company pulled in 4 Billion revenue in two months... phauwckdem and the congress they rode in on...

i have 5 cars and two motorcycles. The FiST is nuts compared to the others. State Farm insurance. Everything else is reasonable. I don’t know the individual car per month cost. But the liability on this shitbox being more than collision on a freaking raptor is testament to how you b-holes drive I guess.

Don't fall for the excuses game. There's an excuse to justify an exorbitant price for 99% of the population. Liability on a four door 88HP economy car sedan with a driver airbag and no record was "nuts". Searching for an excuse on why everyone suddenly tripled the price after years of owning it, do you know what one sales person told me? The prior owner "filed two losses" on it. 🙄

ok tonight update. no pics sorry phone died. Dash and all wiring is out of blue. struts moved over. fuel tanks and lines swapped. only thing that has hung me up so far is the evap canister. the 2011 has a larger can so the FiST can wont just bolt on. its too short, and the 11s can has slightly different fittings and wiring. So it looks like ill have to just zip tie that mofo on there for a couple days until i can weld on some new studs...... or just drill through the spare tire well and drop a couple bolts down. Things that I have noticed that are different are the shift cables are much longer on the 5 speed. they wrap around to the front of the transmission and the 6speed is all on top where they should be. I would have thought the ABS sensors would have had the same connectors but they dont. The 11s dash is crazy heavy. By far the heavyist i have removed to date. even heavier then the previous record of a 17 SHO. So getting the 17 dash out and in with out messing the air box alone might be a challenge. Might have to call my buddy and trade a 5.7 hemi ticking engine laying in the corner for a hand moving this pig out. hes been bugging me about it for a few weeks now. I just cant believe how heavy it is, great place to save 200lbs in a race car. I bet with dash and interior stripped you can get under 1 ton.
ok where am i at time wise..... 2 hrs (seat, something else), then 3(rear sus swap), then 4(ecoboost drop, body work stripped), then 12(duratech dropped, blue body stripped inside and out, front sus on orange, fuel system installed)
I got so much to do tmrw. OMG, its about now I start regretting it all. Power through, tmrw it will drive it self!!!! even if it doesn't have fenders on yet.

state farm, there's your problem. I just dumped all state and saved 56% while adding the fiesta ses liability.

It was a joke. I was just laughing at the 157k mile belt on the duratech engine.
That’s some fast progress! Slap a big ol turbo on that engine while it’s out lol
Wish I had turbo cash right now. Blew my wad on the auction. couple months and parts will start finding there way on. accessport, intercooler, all silicon plumbing, get a fancy noisy intake, down pipe. Want to build some gauge pods into the a piller. its so long its just begging for 3 gauges in there. Turbo and injectors in maybe 6-8 months is the plan. This entire project is more or less a bet with my dealerships manager. Its that I can build a salvage car into something that can hang with his m550i for under 10k. power to weight i need 320ish at the wheels and ill smoke him 40-100. can get it down to 300 if i get lazy and dont install all the interior. But I got 2 13th gen f150s. 1 threw a wrench at me when it ended up needing an engine. the other is my daily driver. So im going to drop my running coyote into the 1 with a smoked motor. Sell the truck off, that will pay for a new reman for the daily. then parts will come come quick. I plan to track it at High Plains Raceway.

Update. Didnt get it started. I need transmission fluid. But interior harness is in, engine is in, suspension is on, carpet swapped, front seats swapped. going to try to steam creases (from air bags going off) out of the ST headliner to replace the white one from blue. I broke the brake switch installing dash, but i think i only broke 1 and can grab blues from orange. weird. Forgot it was Easter so my buddy couldnt help so used the cherry picker as a strong 3rd arm for the dash to not mess it up to much. Ill need a new RCM cause the 11 is different and the ST one will show a permanent (unclearable) deployment code. Fenders on, hood on. what else..... I'm tired.
Everything was going so easy I made the ST rwd for the fun of it.
What tail lights should I run? Im not sure if I like the ses ones more or not. They are the ones currently installed.
