I have the whoosh plate, so cant speak directly about the mountune one, but that said, I imagine the mountune one is at least as good, if not better than the whoosh one. As far as just shortening the shift and replacing the bushings with aluminum, do it. It seems like such a small thing, but what a pleasure it is to drive now. I'm debating getting the Boomba shifter now, as I feel 1st, 3rd and 5th still feel kind of far away. Probably not going to shorten the shift any more, just bring the shifter closer to me. If your considering it, do it. You won't be disappointed
