Are there supposed to be inserts/grommets or something on the Mountune box that go in the place where the stock box mounts? The "nipples" on the back side are what I'm
Referring too. I see the stock box has smaller diameter plugs, where as the Mountune box that I got from a forum member just has the small bottleneck. I'm not sure how that is going to stay locked into place.

Not to sure what you mean. Place box in location, the two male parts will insert into the two female parts. Push down. Boom. Then the box is held in place by the front bracket mounting to the factory bolt in front of the box, install the lid. Kablamo.

I got ya. I was asking about the male and female parts. The stock air box has what I described as a "penis head" that slides into the female parts. The Mountune box doesn't have what I'm describing as the "penis head", just the shaft. Will it still fit snug still?

You still have to use the stock rubber cylinder from the stock intake that attaches beside the yellow tab for the hood prop. That will secure the box.

I am aware of that as well. I guess if that'll hold everything then I'm good to go.

Between the inlet hose, and that rubber cylinder, it'll keep the box moving in the vertical axis. The 2 nipples will keep it from moving side to side.
