I need to access my upper motor mounts and know you remove the battery to get to the driver side. Battery comes out easy enough, but how do you remove the case? It seems locked to the ECU housing. Can it be separated? Do I have to disconnect the ECU and remove it with the case? If anyone has done this recently and remembers the process, what's the final step for removing the battery case? If I have to disconnect the ECU, how do I do that? Messin' with it bothers me.

The case is bolted down. Once you remove the battery, you'll see a few bolts under it that hold the case down. Unplug your ecu, it's bolted to the case as well.

There's tabs on the plugs of the ecu that flip up to unlock the plug.
