ALRIGHTY! I HAVE THINGS!

I received a very special piece from Ortiz Custom Pods located in Rhode Island.

They charged me $100 (I shipped at my cost for like $50) and it took a damned long time, but I have gotten one of the critical pieces for my build.

BEHOLD!

My custom Triple Gauge pod pillar modification!

This was made using my stock A-pillar pieces and it was modified to hold 3 52MM gauges. I am so very happy that I finally got it back. It took like 3 friggin months for them to get it to me. But For what I paid and the quality of the piece, I am satisfied with the product itself.

I currently have my Boost gauge and "Secret weapon" gauge in there. Sadly, the secret weapon isn't in my possession yet. But I plan to put a 3rd gauge but I have no clue what I want to put in there.
Intake temp?
Oil Pressure?
Oil Temp?
Exhaust pressure (For anti Lag applications and monitoring)?

I'm still dicking around with everything, but so far it's all coming together pretty nice.

Slimer I'm so sorry for not replying. I completely forgot what the I.D. and size was. I'll take a look when I have some more time tomorrow and see if I can't get a reply for you if you haven't already figured it out.

I vote for oil temp. Also, those equalizer lights are awesome. I've never seen those before.

Isn't there an airbag under that "A" pillar? Wouldn't it just blast the broken gauges in the face? Anyhoo, I think your secret weapon gauge is an ethanol analyzer gauge!

Sorry for the month long reply. The Airbag is farther up the A-pillar area. The gauges wouldn't go anywhere really. They might break off and fall onto the dash, but that might be it. Unless of course I am in a serious collision and in that case, the gauges are the least of my concerns. Also, because racecar.

As for your guess, You're pretty far off. I'm not doing the Ethanol route on this car. It's tough to find ethanol here and I'm not going to go out of my way to find a place with Ethanol that I need. Also, doing a tune like that is expensive...I think.
But I have some new pics. I was working on my car while at school and after some moments of utter confusion, I have some more to show.

Although I wasn't at STfest, the people down there were kind enough to send me an e-mail telling me my goody bag could be sent to the house. I unfortunately couldn't make it due to me signing up for school a couple of months ago.

But here is the new gauge active and ready to roll. Now I juts need to get what I'm supposed to hook this up to.

Also, update on the pillar. Be careful with our A-pillar. The material it is made out of is supposedly very difficult to adhere to and thus makes custom work very hard. But not even a month after installing it and I already have a crack on the top pillar and it seems to be slowly spreading and cracking until the top gauge pod might fall off. So I'm going to get to work on repairing it and report back...maybe superglue and some black touch up paint? I know that's some shady backyard mechanic crap, but I don't have the skill or materials to fix this and don't want to send it back to Rhode island for another 3 months. I'll report back after my attempts. Worst case scenario...duct tape, superglue, and black spraypaint.

HA! Awesome! You should put that as part of your signature! The pods look real nice...

The pillar should be ABS plastic, and there are few adhesives which will bite into it effectively. I'd get in touch with whoever made it for you and require repairs; though if they got it wrong the first time, they likely won't succeed on attempt #2.

So....yeah. I kinda had to do it.

Gorilla Glue + Duct Tape. No need for the black spraypaint. Duct tape comes in black too!

Now before someone yells at me, I did this because:
1. I do not have the skills or know-how on how to repair this.
2. I do not have the money to have a local place repair it.
3. I am NOT going to send it back to where I had it done and possibly have it there for another 3-4 months like last time.
4. I don't want to take all the gauges out to send it back to put them back in. It was a bitch to get these things in here.

Well hello everyone. I am finally active again. I'm still working on this thing.

2 years of ownership and I still love this thing and am happy with my trade. I still miss my last Fiesta though.

But here is the new thing.

I jumped on the Damond Motorsport Oil catch can because it had everything I wanted in the Oil catch can and was perfect plug and play. I mean the install was stupid easy and I really didn't even need to make a video about it, but I figure that I should start somewhere and felt like a simple install like this was the perfect place to start some youtube videos.

But here are a few pictures of the install:

So now I have that and I'm waiting for Mishimoto to update their danged IC because I just think that one looks friggin sweet.

So I did some cleaning and looked at my exhaust and it was filthy under the car so I decided it was time to hit it up a bit with some polish.
These were the results. Bear in mind I have the Cobb CatBack so it came to me polished already, but winter and never cleaning down there did a number on that shine.

BEFORE: (I was starting to polish it but then stopped to take pictures so that's why it looks ok on the left side)

AFTER:

So after all that I really sit down and decided to have a dash cam in the rear of my car as well as the front.
So I made lemonade out of lemons and used that hole that was left over after that nub snapped off. You know, the one that holds our cargo cover up?
I decided to route a USB cord through that hole. Here are the results:

I was gonna do a video, but then I was like...no that's silly.

I'm back again! Sorry for the sporadic popping in and out. Been busy trying a bunch of stuff and getting more jobs because my current job isn't what you call great for my car budget.

Also thanks to this I plan to be in the car scene much more and as I've stated earlier I am trying to get more videos on the youtube channel. But as I am here, Let me just do a link dump on you guys real quick:
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sirslaughterst/
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyM8-62cNPtCMLho4mrSM4A
CarThrottle: https://www.carthrottle.com/user/w2UasB/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheHyperWizard

So with that said and done, I've been at work trying to get that thermostat in and so far I'm still waiting for a good time when I have a few days off because it takes A LOT to get into that area. This means I am waiting until I get a few more things on my hands before I make another attempt at this.

Sorry I don't have any pics for anything really recent. I've been in a more "fix things" state thanks to an awkward battery issue that put acid all over the place so I have to do a very messy cleanup involving water and baking soda. From there I had to wait a day for everything to dry due to heavy rain while I was in the middle of my work. After that a few things went and borked on me including my underglow and my my aftermarket gauge cluster.

After another day of waiting my cluster is A Okay now, but the underglow may be beyond help. I'm about to try again with that today after I post this.
I'm also going to be removing a few more bits of rice from the car because they did not work out well after all was said and done.

Here's an Idea of the extent of the battery problem:

It was a pain and took a while to clean it out but there is still some acid in some nooks and crannies I can't reach so I'll be back on that today probably as well.

So for now I leave you with this and I'll be back when I have some better stuff to post.
