Might have broken passenger side mirror. Can't find any information whatsoever on how it's mounted.

So I have a very, very narrow driveway, and backing out I bonked my passenger side mirror against the fence. It seems to have loosened it somewhat. I've spent the past 30 minutes on Google trying to find out how it's mounted, so that I can take it apart and have a look to see what has to be fixed to get it back in the right position, but to no avail. Apparently nobody has ever replaced a mirror on a Fiesta since the Mk7s came out. Anyone have a link?

Picture? Di you hit it towards the handle or the hinge of the door? They are folding mirrors towards the handle just need to pull back on it.

I'll get a photo when it's light out again. Basically, I was backing out and hit the outside edge on the fence, and it failed to fold. Where the base mates with the door, it's no longer flush with the door and is bent upwards with a gap at the bottom. You can easily shake the mirror by hand. Upon removing the plug on the door inner, it seems like all that's holding the base on is a single nut and tab. I'll try taking it off with a deep well socket. Maybe the bolt is just bent a bit and I can straighten it back out.

You have to push the insides to release the clip of the cover and the cover will come off, maybe have a look in there? FYI you can look in owner's manual for side mirror turn signal bulb replacement. It shows how to get the cover off.

Looks like the mirror is bolted inside the door panel so you will need to get the door panels off to see where the mirror base is mounted.

Torque : 13 Nm

I replaced my black mirror caps with red and it was a PITA even with directions until you figure it out. Good luck, be patient and take your time. From what your situation sounds like, you may have bent the door sheet metal and damaged the studs on the mirror assembly.

As rodmoe said, door panel does need to come off to tighten or replace entire assembly.

I was able to remove it with a 13mm socket. Seems like I need to replace a plastic clip. The sheet metal seems to be where it should be, but I'll take off the driver's side to compare. There's a round rubber plug forward of the door panel that gives you access. It's not seated exactly correctly, but at least it's not wobbly.

I had the same situation . Walk to my car one morning and had the cover and reflector knocked off . My blind spot mirror a tad bent but I put it back together . But I notice it won't fold in anymore and it's wobbly and loose . Any one have any idea how to tighten it ? Do I need to rip the door panel of or the little rubber circle piece . I took of the circle piece and I saw there's a bolt . Not sure what size.
