I'm also interested in this exhaust but am too concerned with the noise. I like loud vehicles (y'all should hear my Ducati haha) but am nervous about drone.

So I have two questions for MBRP owners that I and I think the OP would be interested in:

How loud is the exhaust, ranking 0-11? Where 0 is electric car quiet and 10 is Harley with straight pipes loud. I don't know what 11 would be, but I wouldn't like driving it.

And how is the drone, 0-11, where 0 is no drone and 11 is so droney your head will explode.

These rankings go to 11.
11 is a top fuel drag car. Have you ever been next to one doing a burnout? It's so loud it's disorienting.

On your scale I'd put the stock car at 2 and the MBRP at 5. I'd place drone at 2; I don't personally perceive much drone. It's pretty stock when cruising until you get some load.

Oh shoot and one more thing to MBRP owners; if you're kind enough to post a response, what downpipe are you running? I'm told that can make quite a bit of difference in sound.
Also how much popping and burbling is there? I love that stuff. My bike does it literally every time I'm coming down the rev range and I still love it.
I have the DHM downpipe. It's important to note here that I also have the 2867r turbo kit... Anyway, lots of pops, burbles, gurgles, turbo spool, and flames. Even when I had my Cyborg with the 2JR downpipe.

Nice, this is great stuff. Thanks Hijinx & Miketank.

I'm probably going to go with the MBRP exhaust. Still undecided about catless / catted downpipe. Power is nice, but I don't really want to smell gas all the time.
But I need like 6 more paychecks before any of that happens haha.

My mind has been made up on the MBRP. Their rebate goes until December for what it's worth.

Call it what you will, but all this talk about flames has me wanting more mods!

Just finished putting the XP series on my car with a catless DP. All I can say, it is loud! But I like it. Drone happens right around 3100 rpm and only if I stomp through it. Feathering the throttle as you pass that rpm point produces no drone, so you can drive it stealthily in you neighborhood if need be. I will try to post a video later today.

It's a good choice, I'm in love with mine. Can be quite loud, or pretty stealthy if you need to be quiet. Also it makes some sweet crackly pops and stuff, which is just ear candy.

What downpipe are you guys using with this exhaust? It needs one that necks down to 2.5 to match the flange of the exhaust right?

I'm running mine with a Depo Racing catless downpipe. After a couple tune revisions from Adam the drone is diminished greatly. I absolutely love the sound. I'll see if I can post a video tomorrow.

I just ordered one of these from Dead Hook Motorsports. Judging by the videos on youtube it does sound too loud.
