Magnaflow (15311) Cat Back System - Need Thoughts/Opinions

Whats a responsible amount a shop should charge to get a muffler changed out?

From what I was told the cost of the muffler plus $50-$75 in labor. If you want a certain set of tips buy those first. This is what I've come to learn locally.

Sorry for the double post but after looking around on Amazon I have another question. I know that this was made for rice burner (I know cause I had a similar product on my 93 Civic) but what about something like this and have the muffler shop run 2.5" tubing from the cat back?

I went ahead and purchased this 15311 from HPD for $599 yesterday. Decided im gonna keep my stock dp and not go heavily modded so this fits the bill for me. My current 2JR turboback will be up for sale as soon as I get this on.

Let the rest of us know how this sounds. And let the rest of us know if you can tell a HP difference going from a race exhaust to a street exhaust.

I highly doubt I will gain or feel a hp difference from just a catback. Sound always triggers that placebo affect. Never got to install my downpipe so im sure no difference but just sound will be the result. As far as sound CJ Pony has a a installation vid on this cbe.

My bad, I thought you were going from the 3" downpipe and other exhaust to a "tamer" Magnaflow setup.

I found the Magnaflow catback here http://www.coloradospeed.com/magnaflow-225-catback-exhaust-2014-fiesta-st-p-30873.html when I was looking a while back, but then realized it's not really any bigger than the factory stainless exhaust. Great deal though!

Hpd is the cheapest ive found and LM performance has the borla for $619

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to have a muffler shop cut off the resonator (the stock one is huge, I looked at it last night), install 3" pipe from the cat back and have them put on a race series Magnaflow with built-in tip.

Right now I'm leaning toward this, "Magnaflow 14851 Race Series Polished Stainless Steel Oval Muffler with Tip".

Thoughts?

Yeah it shipped from PA so to NY it took one day
