Hi there, i just recently purchased a 2017 fiesta st and im having some problems. The car kept throwing a low boost code so i replaced the maf and did a smoke test through the intake and found no leaks but im still only getting around 9-11 pounds of boost. I’m reading that through my cobb accessport. The turbo spools and sounds fine and the car only has 80k miles so i don’t think it’s the turbo. i’m not sure what could be causing this but any help would be much appreciated. i’m thinking it could be a boost solenoid but idk since im still making some boost. Anything helps thanks

These Cars are MAP based Not MAF. The MAF ia really only used as a Temp sensor for incoming air. What is the exact code being thrown?

It’s the p0299 under boost code after i replaced the maf it stopped showing up but im still only getting around 10-12 psi. i replaced it because it had a low idle and would drop sometimes but it seemed to fix that.

Have you looked at the BPV/ Bypass Valve for the Turbo? or does it have an aftermarket BOV/ Blow Off Valve on the Stock Turbo? could be leaking there or connector could be damaged also.

i haven’t taken a look at it yet that was my plan i know they like to leak from there. i have a decent amount of car knowledge but this is my first time doing anything on one of these. its mostly stock besides a cat back, drop in filter, a symposer delete and a cobb stage 1 tune.

Get away from the OTS Cobb tune as soon as possible and go with Westley at EMS*...Jason at Dizzy Tuning or Alex at Stratified. If you have access to e85 id highly suggest an E30 tune for the Stock Turbo it really awakens it ALOT. Flash the FiST back to Stock if you haven't just to see if the problem persists!

okay will do! it was having low boost before the tune was installed. i was planning on going dizzy when i went stage 2 once my intercooler and downpipe gets here. closest place to me that sells e85 is an hour away it would be cool to have it if it was more accessible. i’m just trying to see if i have a leak somewhere or possibly a bad part causing it to have low boost. had a boosted honda before this and it was a little more simple to find a leak somewhere. this new stuff is something i need to learn a little more about.
