Edited my post to refrain from personal attacks.
Refraining would mean never having done so in the first place. ;) You can leave "punk who thinks he's smart". I'm not offended. However, how about adding to the discussion? You're more than welcome to join in and discuss where you feel I'm incorrect.

I don't feel you are completely incorrect, but you are off on some of your points. Id rather not speak on Livernois behalf. I can relay my experience with them and their tune, I felt like I have already done that thus far.

If you don't mind me asking, who tuned your fiesta?

Which points? I'm simply curious.

I don't mind at all. As of right now, I'm not currently tuned. I'm at about 1500 miles on the car and still making my decision on which way to go. I've reached out to a few of the older (in time; not age) members on this site to get their input on who they would recommend. I've read the reviews and threads of different tuners. Right now, however, I'm leaning towards finding a local tuner to dyno/road tune the car. 2J Motorsports is local to me and I may use them for installs that I simply can't do. But, I've yet to find a local tuner that I trust enough to pull the trigger on with tuning. Maybe JST in Macon, GA? I'm still on the fence. As I said, the domestic arena is new to me. If you need to know who to tune your 370Z, R35 GT-R, M4, 911, etc., I could quickly point you in the proper direction. I'm a newb when it comes to Ford shops.

As far as tuners for the fiesta go, there are only a handful really that do enough to even consider.
Judging by the way you are from your posts. Livernois would not be a good solution for you. They do have IMO the best tune, and the best power delivery. Though you would hate not being able to log and see and all the features that the accessport would allow you to do.

So in that case, I'd suggest adam, atleast from what I have read, he does a very good job.

IN my case i sacrifice the ability to log and gauges, etc. for a (in my opinion) superior tune.

EDIT: Also for the sake of curiosity, if you have had those cars listed, why are you now driving a fiesta with a turbo on it?

I wouldn't necessarily mind giving up the gauges. In the past, on cars tuned with the Cobb AP, I've never left the accessport in the car. This practice is new and novel to me. I've always installed aftermarket gauges to monitor boost, AFR, oil pressure, etc. for cars that came normally aspirated and had forced induction added after-the-fact. For the R35, I simply monitored with the built-in gauges. But you are correct, I could not do without the logging. Not with a tune in which I had no idea what was going on under the hood. I may randomly log with a custom dyno/street tune to make sure there are no issues that come about under different weather conditions.

Thank you for you for your recommendation of Tune+. I have read as much as I can on Adam and I can't pull the trigger there, either. E-tune is just not what I trust or believe in. That said, so far, Alex at Stratified has the lead on any tuner here. Still, e-tune. :-/

As to why drive a Fiesta? I've always wanted a hot-hatch. The Focus ST and RS don't do it for me. The Golf R was highly considered, but after driving it, it didn't impress. The little Fiesta is just damned fun. Made me miss driving a slow car fast rather than driving a fast car slow.

I was hoping Livernois would respond back again but it's no biggie. I agree, good discussion.
I can understand ones dilemma if we were dealing with some no name upstart company but this is Livernois motorsports their rep speaks for itself. Then again like I said I come from the mustang scene where they are also well known and respected and known as one of the better tuners if not THE best one out there. I feel comfortable with their work and all the answers they've given in this thread and I am 110% happy I went with them to tune mine because I believe it to be the best tuning option out there. Not just in power but all around....I love mine it has performed flawlessly and my mpg are up to 30+ when before they never got above 27-28 similar driving same commute. There has to be something right with it if it can make your car much faster...have no Ill effect on drivability and also increase mpg slightly...they gotta be doing something right and there couldnt be too much going on wrong with the tune if all those are true which they are
...must my .02

I installed my LMS tuner Friday morning with just a minor hiccup. The tech staff walked me thru and the install took seconds. Despite 93 degree temps and high humidity, a noticeable bump in HP and torque was evident. Numbers? No clue, but 80 came quickly (on a limited access, major east-west PA roadway) and acceleration in 10 MPH increments in 6th was awesome (just getting a feel for things). Around town, you'd never know anything was different (unless called upon), but I'm sure I'll never experience improved gas mileage - too much happy right foot!!

Thanks Jaimie and Jason from Livernois.

I agree this is an interesting discussion. I to come from the Mustang community, I have a 2013 GT, and when I saw the name Livernois it immediately caught my attention. The one thing that I wish is that my ST had the same gauges as my GT for monitoring A/F ratio and others just to keep an eye on things. The main things I'm worried about is longevity of the motor and nothing too herky jerky. I don't care about making the most power if it means my engine will pop. I have had some tunes on previous Mustangs that were just too touchy. I am glad this discussion is here so I can see other's experiences to make my decision.

Are you on the 91 or 93 octane tune? Congrats on the tune. Upgrade your FMIC and you'll be able to pull consistently. Get ready to get hit by the Mod Bug. ;)

I'm using the 93 tune, and yeah, mods will come sooner than I can justify. I'm out of a mazdaspeed3 that I killed (asshat), and this tune has gotten me feeling close.

Agreed, it's not a long term option, but good for those time that you want to up the excitement of the Tune. Just like running E30. Not a long term option, but good for the occasional fun Run [like]

Consider using 16oz of Torco in 10 gal of 92 octane, then switch to 93 tune [twothumb]. You might just be pleasantly surprised.
DO NOT INTRODUCE ANY ADDITIVES INTO YOUR CAR! All TDI cars, especially the EB, are extremely sensitive to octane levels, burn rate, pattern and specific gravity. Additives can also clog and fail your DI injectors.

Interesting thought. Does that also apply to ETOH as an "octane booster" as well?
