Can anybody with the WC hybrid piston please post a picture of the height difference between stock? It looks much too high for me but I love the cylinder look instead off the spherical and want the hybrid for cold winter and hot summer. TIA!
Somewhere deep in this thread I think there's a photo of the piston knob next to a stock knob and maybe next to one of the round lathe werks knobs. If you don't find it before next week I should have my knob and will definitely post some pics.

Hey y'all, I REALLY want this dumb glow in the dark one from sickspeed https://www.sickspeed.com/product/d...anual-short-throw-gear-shifter-12x1-25-k15-55

do i need to get another lock out or something or can I use the existing hardware from the factory knob?
the thing with our lockout is that it goes up into the shift knob, so you need a big recess for it to sit in. There are extensions that work with the lockout, and those would be compatible with whatever knob, if you don't mind the higher shifter height. The glow is a fun idea, but would it work given limited light exposure at night via the dome lights?

gotcha! So knobs that are specifically noted to be recessed are what we need. I have a sunroof (and I leave it open all the time) so I do get a decent amount of light, but I'd more than likely use my UV lamp and charge it that way until it was full and then hope for the best. I've just been obsessed with that dumb glow in the dark!

here's an example to show it visually, with a regular knob on the left and a knob machined to work with a reverse lockout like ours on the right:

and a photo showing what the ford assembly looks like (on a focus st, but same thing)

Thanks! That's really helpful. I bought a lockout adapter too just in case
Did you actually call them up and ask them if that knob has the recess we need?

They list the Fiesta/Focus/Mustang so they must know those cars need the recess to access reverse.

I did not but I'll update when I get it. If it requires the lockout I'll definitely let people know

It really isn't a big deal to use reverse with the extension. I just wish my extension was a one piece design and bigger around, looks kind of silly as is, but I love the way it shifts. I am debating getting a custom extension made.
