It's arriving today so I'll see what the difference is. Someone on here mentioned this one is heavier than the stock knob, so we'll see.

Friend of mine sent me these samples to see if I like it and get opinions. No weight as of yet. Both are slightly heavier than stock.

Both of those look pretty sweet, top one a bit more though.

I have been through a few knobs already but this is my favorite setup. I did have to tap the cobb knob so it would thread further down on the twm extension. Sits at the perfect height for me now.

How do you like driving with the extension? I'm considering one, but I think I'd have to pair it with a short shift kit. Getting into reverse looks...interesting?

That (the reverse thing) is what is keeping me from doing an extension.

I also would want about a 90% reduction from the factory throw length if I were doing an extension, since the only shift handle which should be all that high is a VERY short throw sequential setup (IMHO). ;)

I like the idea of an extension. I need to sit fairly far back to not have my knees cramp up on long drives, but that makes my T-Rex arms have to realllly reach when shifting. I'm tempted to just drill and top a piece of metal and see if I like it before I buy one.

I love the extension. I had a twm extensions and full shift kit on my Mazdaspeed3 and it was perfect. So I knew I had to figure something for the fist.

Reverse is super easy, lift up and pull towards you. You don't need to have your hand on the knob obviously.

If reverse was away from you, it would be more difficult.

I have the mountune quick shift, it is a must with the extension. I don't like a heavy shift feel, this setup lets me feel everything.

It's not for everyone but I think if you are considering it, you will like it.

I have the Ford carbon fiber knob and it fits good and didn't need to be tapped.

I also have a delrin knob from grimspeed that is perfect, but the top is flat and I prefer the round style of the cobb. The grimspeed knob does look better, it looks more rally style, I may switch back to it.

I might swing by ace hardware on the way home and buy a turnbuckle that I can tap. Would be a cheap experiment to see if It'll work out for me. Hmmm

Can anybody with the WC hybrid piston please post a picture of the height difference between stock? It looks much too high for me but I love the cylinder look instead off the spherical and want the hybrid for cold winter and hot summer. TIA!
