iPod won't play music with Sync 3

My iPod "connects" and charges with my car, but Sync won't let me play any music out of it unless I choose a song from the iPod itself.

I've unplugged the iPod with the car running and off, left it unplugged overnight, and I'm not sure what else to do.

Sync is kind of letting me down, not a fan at all.

Do you have it connected via blue tooth too? I have a 1st gen iPod Touch and have it connected via USB but I also connected it with blue tooth and it works. Granted "works" as in the stupid thing only recognizes 50% of the song titles I throw at her -__- "Woozy" does not mean "Lil Wayne"!!

I figured it out. My iPod broke while being plugged into the car...

And yes, Sync has awful voice recognition.
