Intake hose

So this may be a long shot as I don't know if anyone would know but is there different sizing of the intake hose you can change without changing the whole stock airbox? I ask because none of the intakes seem like they make any real gains and a few hundred dollars for that isn't my college student budget so I wanted to just change the hose as I know and can see it bottlenecks in some areas so if anyone has advice or experience with this please share it here.

You can go full 3" I had a pumaspeed and now the MOUNTUNE hose. To be honest I did not notice a difference. Mishimoto do have some charts claiming improvements. I would suggest the high flow filter before the hose.

I do have the cobb drop in filter so I may go mountune or mishimoto for the hose but I suspect there has to be some improvement.

Not really as the ECU will adjust based on air flow. Unless you have a custom tune the computer compensates. The power would be the same. Maybe easy to get but the same non the less.
