Seems like a nice silver would be best for wheels if you're looking to match. Hard to step away from bronze though (I'm a huge sucker for bronze).

Mee too, I love bronze. I'm really tempted to open them up and paint the housing black with the shroud in bronze. Or just tint them.

Be prepared to spend 3+ hours opening them up and prepping them to reseal them properly. That's 3+ per light.

Opening is easy, cleaning the permaseal out is a bitch.

I've heard these lights are some of the worst around to crack open.

Opening them up is super easy. Once you get the technique down, you can get into the light in less than 30 mins, and 20 of those are time in the oven.

The bitch part is cleaning the sealant out. It bonds to the housing like crazy, you have to scrape it out with a flat head. And it isn't simple like a rubber gasket, it breaks and crumbles into thousands of tiny pieces.

And you have to get ALL of it, or the new sealant won't bond properly.

I'll probably just save some extra cash and have someone do it for me. I know a local guy here who does a great job with retrofits. In the mean time I'll just tint them a bit.

I was going to do that until he quoted me a price of $650. Not exorbitant, but when the parts are less than $350, I tackled it myself.

Just received mine. I haven't opened the box to inspect them yet, but I feel like they were very well packed considering how big the box is:

Well, the rear tab on the passenger-side one is broken. I'll just glue it back together, but I'm going to ask for a partial refund.

That's exactly how mine looked, passenger side and all. I'd double check to make sure there isn't more damage than that though. I thought it was just the tab on mine too until I installed them and tried to aim them. Make sure the halogen/projector housing inside didn't get knocked loose. You can compare what it looks like to the driver's side.

Good news! I thoroughly inspected the rest of the unit, and nothing was loose. I'll be adjusting the headlights this weekend, so I'll report back if there were any issues. I did some research, and I'll be repairing the tab using Devcon Plastic Welder. If anyone has any better suggestions for repairing the tab, please let me know.

Success! Moving the wire for the DRLs was super easy once I got my head around how the plug was put together. On the 2014s, you don't even need to remove the bottom part, just the big white plastic piece.

I finally have a quote myself for a set of the OEM projector headlights with LED (German LHD). 503, thank you for providing such detailed information - it made it super easy to make the leap. For those of you that have had the headlights for a little while now, are you still happy with them? I'm about to pull the trigger, but wouldn't mind hearing follow-ups from a few of you that actually have them on your cars.

I guess it pays to be a morning person when communicating with the UK. I sent Wendy a quote request an hour ago, and already heard back from her with everything I need to order them! It'll be great to finally be able to see at night!

That's what I noticed as well. I wake up at 5am on work days so it was quicker/easier for me.
