After driving several hundred miles onn vacation without issue, I went to start out on the final leg home this am when I ran into a probleM. After running just about a minute or so, I went to turn a corner and the car stalled. Thinking it was just a momentary issue, I pulled over and restarted the car, all seemed fine. But a hundred feet later, I turned another corner and I abruptly slowed. I realized that I slowed because the engine was not responding to my gas pedal. Went though the restart routine several times to get back to my starting point. No tools except for an adjustable wrench, I managed to get the battery cables undone thinking maybe I couyld clear the fault. Only made it worse, after reconnecting the cables, car refused to do anything, said I was in Immobility Mode, get service immediately. Getting it towed to a Ford dealer, hoping this has nothing to do with my aftermarket tune, Pullede the Accessport to give them access to the service port. Anyone have this ecxperience ?

I would have tried to pull logs while it was still running.

You'll need to get a OBD reader and dig into it. Logs/fault codes are what you'd need here.

I doubt it has anything to do with your tune.

It only happening in corners makes me wonder if something is clogged or you have some kind of evap situation going on? I'm sure others will have more input. My starting point would be the fuel system, then intake, throttle, etc.

edit: lol for comedy I asked AI. It pointed me to this thread, https://www.fiestastforum.com/threads/engine-turned-off-twice-while-driving.26553/ and gave me this answer:

Stalling while cornering in a Ford Fiesta could be caused by issues such as a faulty throttle body, problems with the fuel system, or a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor. It's advisable to check for any diagnostic trouble codes and inspect these components to identify the root cause.

Thank you so much for that input. I would have pursued this further on my own but I’m still 150 miles from home. Interesting that the throttle body responded on restart but went dead after cornering, especially given the AI summary answer. I’ll be sure to report on what gets it resolved.
