How to keep sunroof door closed?

Stock suspension. Every time I hit a bump dip or hole, sometimes even hard acceleration the sunroof shade/cover just slides open. I love my sunroof but I want the door to stay shut when I want no sunlight in my eyes or no wind noise. What have y'all done or is something missing on mine?

Mine stays closed, it's been closed for months and none of the things you described have caused it to open up. I haven't done anything to it, it's just the way it came from the factory.
Good luck figuring it out, that sounds annoying.

When I took a peep I could not see anything broken. I fiddled with this clip thingy on the top right above the handle and it broke off lol. But now it seems to be staying closed? I'll update if it stays closed lol

Drove around a lot today hitting my favorite bumps dips and potholes and the sunroof didn't budge even once! Cracking off that little tab seems to have fixed the issue 😂 I wonder what that tab was for?

previous owner on my car put felt strips in the sheet metal part where the sunroof "door" slides open and closed... it doesn't rattle around or shift awkwardly like you described. felt strips work miracles on some of these cars LOL

It seems for me breaking that tab allowed the door to slide further in wedging itself against the sunroof metal which is holding it in place now without rattle. Thanks for the suggestions tho!
