How can this floor jack be so cheap?

It would be different if the Jack had a wider base...but it don't. No go!

That looks like Harbor Frieghts one and half tone that sells for $59 on sale. You do realize thats straight out of the Factory in China click on their contact it goes to an address in China.
All those jacks the Arcan and the Harbor Freights come out of the same factory. That is just someone backdooring the Arcan lol. It’s well known that if you don’t have strong binding contract with the Chinese they will back door the stuff they are making for you.

Thats why you have to own the factory and write strict binding contracts.
Hell my friend told me about how Siemens came to Shanghei years ago signed a loose contract with the Chinese to manufacture for them for 10 years. Then the Chinese kicked Siemens out of the factory after 10 years because the contract was too loose and started making the product themselves lol.
Its totally the wild west of manufacturing over there.
It's waaaaasaay worse than that! Companies in China are not independent of Government involvement and direct oversight.
So, if the state decides that they can leverage some aspects of the intellectual property or unique processes., They will do it. They don't give a shit about patent laws or trademarks. They don't care about safety rules or environmental controls.
On top of all that, they are widely known for using convict labor. Which is why so many things are dirt cheap!
I have seen things on China made vehicles that would make any halfway decent mechanic/gearhead on this site amazed by its ham-handed and potentially fatal sloppiness.

I’m curious if anyone who bought this jack back then is still using it. Has it held up over time, or did any issues come up after repeated use? I’ve been looking for a solid budget option, but I also don’t want to end up with something that fails after a few uses.

I bought a 3 ton jack from Harbor freight instead. It is certainly overkill for this car, but it was on sale and it has worked very well.

A lot of cheap jacks cut corners on materials and build quality. Some work fine for light use, but the durability and safety can be questionable. I’d double-check reviews and weight ratings.

^^^The problem is that the heavy use, high quality build jacks (especially the ones built here, or Sweden, etc.) start at upwards of $700.00 for the steel low profile ones, and go up to $2000.00!! [crazyeye] for the quality, USA built, alloy racing jacks, which sometimes are not even rated for 2 tons, given how light most race cars are (yes, save for the NASCAR stuff).

A Fiesta is light use.

That said, even tire stores like Big O use the Harbor Freight floor jacks in their shops.

Just because something is sold on AMAZON doesn't mean it's the low price. Two examples ..

I was looking at Video Cards a while back. From the manufacturer it was $XXX.XX but from Amazon it was 1.5 (XXX.XX)..

Last week I was looking at grow lights (for my tomatoes). At Lowe's it was $40. I double checked Amazon. Same light $84.

Same thing with Costco. Just because they sell it doesn't make it the lowest price.
I've seen Amazon show different prices on the same stuff.
Higher price items would be priority on my laptop, logged in under my account.
Lower price would be prioritized, not logged in on my cell phone.
So I started pulling stuff up on my cell then sending the link to my PC; and would order there.
Haven't checked lately but last few times I did search with both, they were the same.
