I agree with you guys that sure it is still solid in place etc. And if you are cool with having a part you purchased break than that is also fine as its your vehicle. I'm just more under the mindset of quality parts. And even if the few of you (that we know about) don't mind that it broke off, others who are potentially looking at purchasing this product may care about a now known issue like this, and I can guarantee you Cobb cares. I'm sure they would want to hear about it to potentially fix this for the future if it is indeed a design or quality flaw. Small niche platforms like this grow on R&D and feedback. The vendors and companies can only better themselves and the parts they offer by receiving feedback both good and bad.
That's just my unwanted 2 cents.

The reason I am not pursuing getting it replaced is that I feel if I do, the new part will just break again, because like you said I feel this is a design flaw. The bracket breaking off has not made me think anything less of Cobb's part quality, I have nothing but good things to say about all their parts that I currently have. However, my not pursuing getting it replaced does not mean I don't intend to let them know of the issue, because it is not an isolated incident there must be, as you said, either a quality or design issue. I believe it is the latter, but that is just my opinion, and in the end it will more than likely be up to Cobb to determine what the cause is. I apologize if I made it seem that your two cents was unwanted, I appreciate any and all input from this community. [cheers]

I'm not going to replace my charge pipe unless necessary, because it's a PITA having to remove the front clip to access the FMIC.

Yes, but it's pretty easy.
Really? I have taken my charge pipes on and off several times with the bumper still on.
I just make sure to angle the clamps so you can access it from underneath.

I've taken off the bumper, I have the DHM crash bar and intercooler. It just would be nice to install this without taking the bumper off. I'm going to get some silicone lube tonight and see how easy it is to hook the parts together to determine whether or not I'll try to hook these up again.

i've done the same.
when i installed my MBRP charge pipe, i just took off the splash shield or whatever its called and was done in no time.

granted i still need to take off the bumper so i can fix the alignment of my DHM factory fit FMIC (its a little off-center by my own fault)

I've never taken off the splash shield independent of the bumper... Is that the piece the bumper tabs slide into? I assume you just need to take some clips and screws off in the wheel well and the 5 screws under the bumper?

that is the piece I am referring to. I didn't undo it completely, just on the passenger side to access the fitting at the intercooler easier.

Thanks for the tips. When I put my clamps on the oem pipes the nuts face the outside of the bumper. I wonder if I could get my ratchet in there. I guess I will find out when I jack the car up tonight. If I do this I'll likely attempt the hotside first. This time I'll get all the elbows soaped up and as close coupled as possible to see if it gives me room.
