Here's a single video and picture. wannaGOFAST is like the mustang dyno of half mile events. We measure our trap speed sensors very meticulously, and don't play any games. So, for reference, 145mph is a little faster than a lightly modified LSx.

Hey Isaac, why the huge drop off in speed from your 161mph trap? Is this the new motor after you popped the last one?

It's a curious topic of discussion that comes down to the question of how the previous event measured their half mile. What I know is that our traps have been Vbox verified and we (Wannagofast) hold records. What I don't know is how the event I attended measured. A lot is going through your mind and things are moving fast when you're in a half mile. There's not much time to focus on your speedo. You launch, shift, shift, shift, shift, cross the line, and start braking. You don't know really until you get the slip of what you've done. Do I think the car is slower on the built engine? Well, it was on race gas when it ran "161mph." I might be a little slower as I was on E45. Only the event organizers know if they measured right or wrong.

Just to add to the topic. The highest rear vss at the last 1/2 mile even I logged was 125mph. They gave us a slip for 141mph.

At this WannaGOFAST event we logged rear vss at 138mph and got a slip for 137mph.

The data/logs don't lie.

Also to add that cars like vettes and hell cats where 12-15mph slower. I believe that the WannaGOFAST event was 100% accurate in its speeds

You've been busy. I wanted to congratulate you on your new build. The pistons look really impressive, as well as your times at the strip before and after I had no idea you were running those kinds of times. Extremely impressive. Are you still 1.6 liters on the displacement?

Here's a video. I have others that still need to be edited. Basically, I have to work on my driving... I was hoping for 11s, but that's ok. There will be time next year, and there's more to come yet.

So what did you end up running? Can't tell from the video. Also what tire set up were you running?

It's at the end of the video on its own title page, but 12.46 @ 116.8mph. Fronts are anthracite 15x8 PR 1.2 in 23" M&H slicks.

Based on your trap speed, car should probably be capable of 11.6, 11.7 mph. You get the right launch, the car to stick and a good reaction time and you should be good.

Reaction time has nothing to do with et.
Get the launch down to sub 1.8 and you'll be right where we all know the car is capable of

Correct

Also mid 11s you need at lease 1.5-1.6 to be on par.
