Help (again)! Thermostat housing will not come off

I was unable to loosen the belt on the alternator from the passenger side of the care so I had to take the entire front end of the car off. I am also replacing the coolant hoses so I had to take the front off for the top radiator hose. After doing so, and unbolting the housing, it will not come off. Any suggestions would be really helpful!

You're going to have to spray loads of penetrating oil on this and you'll have to let it sit over night.. then tap with a rubber hammer etc all around the inlet port

That's exactly what I ended up doing. PB Blasted around the housing, doused it. Ended up coming off and finally swapped in the 180 degree thermostat.
