Hello from SE Ohio

Just picked up a 2016 and excited to drive this thing around the Hocking Hills. The previous owner(s) did several mods, some of which I knew about when I inspected it before purchase, the rest I'm discovering as I venture down the rabbit hole.

What I know so far:

• 16" Dekagram wheels
• Mishimoto intake
• Milltek straight pipe cat back
• Unknown downpipe (definitely not stock and it's throwing CEL)
• Unknown black intercooler with red whoosh hoses and pipe
• Tuned, but no accessport (the cruise buttons show map slots available)
• Suspension all looks stock

I have a lot of questions, but the most pressing one is: can I tell if my turbo is stock or hybrid without taking it off? I was able to sneak a camera down enough to see the blue BW plate, so I know it's at least the stock housing. I'm a bit nervous about doing anything with the tune without knowing for sure what's going on with the turbo.

I've always thought of Columbus as Central Ohio... and there's a Hocking Hills, Southeast of Columbus.

Yeah same. I bought a Honda Monkey out in Troy during COVID. That’s southwestern Ohio to me.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum.

On the turbo, you can tell by removing the entirety of the intake tract leading up to the turbo to check out the inlet. Most hybrids will look different than stock, but this isn’t a 100% plan. Know anyone around with a fist? Drive theirs, if so. Turbo upgrade is an extremely obvious difference on the butt dyno if theirs is stock and yours is a hybrid or vice versa. It’s hard to imagine someone would upgrade their turbo and leave suspension stock, but hey there are people running -20° camber, so anything’s possible.
