I am new to fist but old hat to the modification community; although I don't contribute a lot but read everything. I had a mildly modded '07 mazdaspeed 3 (400whp DD dyno), '03 stock Focus SVT-used, currently have an '14 Audi SQ5 (stock), '08 Evo GSR 570awhp on 94oct fully built and a Chevy Avalanche with 330,000KM. Got the fiesta to replace the Focus.
Bought a 2015 Fist in Tuxedo black today short notice. Needed a ride.

The Focus is currently dying in my driveway, I bought it as the 3rd owner. I had picked it out for my aunt as a second car, I bought it from an ex-ford marketing employee who got the car 'free'. My aunt bought it (I picked it out) with around 35,000Km on it. She sold it to me @ 60,000 (they went to a one car household and it was the second car). I put 120,000Km on it before I starting having cooling issues.... it is currently on hiatus.

This is my daily driver for 70km commute almost every day, grocery getting and will be my most used car in all seasons from -40C with ice/snow to +40C with dirt, dust and gravel. I am not planning to mod it engine or suspension-wise, but will probably do exhaust, intake, tune and maybe that motor mount when I get the itchy trigger finger.

By the way MFT sucks.

Ill try to remember to do that. I haven't taken any pictures of it before. So it will be frozen, covered in ice, broken foglights, scratches and a pool of antifreeze. Thanks for the welcome and **** your weather.

Haha yeah our weather is great this time of the year..but summer time I'll take Canadian weather anytime.

what color is your avie ?
Avie? evo? Graphite Grey with black/blue Wedsport BBM rims. Fist is Tux Black.

Oh avie=avalanche. Its black with grey trim (plastic), red tuct tape taillight (beaver dropped a tree on her)... and rust.

I like your rims, what kind (also size, offset and tiresize and rubbing?) Look like advans, or enkei's but I could be wrong... they look like the perfect rim for this car... haven't like much other of what i've seen; especially the stock summer wheel. I am rocking steelies for winter.

Welcome, sounds like all you need is a Cobb stage 3 and you'll be set.

After learning a few times, I am going to wait for the segment to mature. With the evo went through 3 intakes, 3 turbos, and 2 exhausts, with 4 different downpipes before I was happy.Although I intended for 400awhp and then bent a rod, then went big after that... if I had planned appropriately I would have still went through Two of each. Not to mention multiple suspension components including Three sets of coilovers. I've done every bolt on twice on that car, and I am on my third engine (2nd one was a freak accident from a bad water/meth controller).


I don't like cobb's intake, but I am not informed enough about the Fist to determine if its good enough.... yet. I would love for it to be shorter, and not plastic. Probably have to relocate the battery. Not badmouthing cobb, but I have been too free to mod with a new platform in the past.

Haha yeah our weather is great this time of the year..but summer time I'll take Canadian weather anytime.
After going there once, I do agree. I sweat my balls off in December there even. I'm not a big guy, just not used to that weather, even in your almost coldest month.

LOL yes the Avalanche sounds like mine minus the plastic and beaver droppings.
Thanks on the wheels they are Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 in a 15x8 30 et from Chalon at PCA good guy he is.. Tires in pic are DZll 205/50/15 about the same Diameter as the factory maybe .5 smaller but now I run Hoosier A6 on those rims for track/autoX days as in my siggy :) Glad to have ya here though should be fun :)

I like the smaller rims, I think the bigger rims are mostly useless or for show. Anything bigger than a 16 is pretty odd for this car. I ran 16's on the focus too. At higher cornering speeds the bigger rims are useful, not for anything we will actually see on this car though. Thanks for the positive welcome to forum.

Are the rims 3 piece?


Also just bought the first two parts for my car; neither performance related. The throttle spacer, which I need for winter due to wearing boots. Sucks accidentally hitting the brake pedal with the rim of my boot and of course some replacement LED lights for the dome/map lights. They are dimmer than anything i've seen.

Hoping for a plug and play HID projector headlight/housing....

I would have bought the COBB AP already, but I am trying to keep it stock for warranty. Or at least until block prices are feasible. I need this thing to be reliable and cost-friendly, as my evo is none of those things.

Rims are one piece and ya stock is fun till you start to mod then it is a illness as you well know lol

I like your rims more now :)

Also I just zoomed in a noticed your avie (I will use this term now) in the background. Its probably much nicer than mine. After I buy a new house I am getting a new truck... My focus was supposed to last me until then; which it didn't. Was going to pick up a 2 year or old or new tundra or maybe a dodge diesel so I can tow my evo in a car hauler... but as you know; nothing ever happens as planned.

How are you liking that boomba short shifter? Also how is the install? Any cutting? Is it a lot stiffer like most SS?

Edit: Just noticed you had the wheels in your sig. Kind of skipped over that from the grey.... doesn't show up well for my monitor settings.

Welcome! I am also a member of the SVT Focus now Fiesta ST club. I had a 2003 SVT Focus EAP for a few years. I bought it from my dad and then turned around and sold it back to him.

YEs the Avie is a 2004 with less than 115K miles on it and we replaced the motor when we pressed it into trailer towing duty a few years back still has the 5.3 but it is a LS327 crate motor will little more torque and agout the price of a rebuilt on the factory unit and lots less oil seepage and puffing after a hard pull ;) Body is getting rusty now too in spots .. Oh well


Thanks again on the wheels I do like them too.. As for the shifter it was a bit involved as I am not a fan of taking the dash or counsel apart so I was afraid of breaking lil plastic parts which I did not so I worried for nothing again lol. once the install was done using the included instructions (it went really well just take your time) the feel and fit of the unit makes it so much more mechanical feeling like a real shifter not some vague slush bucket and the slight change in shifter arm puts it right where it needs to be during spirited driving as now I can just palm the car into 1-3-5 gears very nice I think... Anyways have fun with the car stock or not they are a HOOT
