Hi. I’ve just bought myself a mk6. It’s a lovely car, bodywork great, low miles and only a couple of owners.
previous owner has just done a full underside restoration and all new suspension, brakes etc

That looks great, I'm really impressed with how clean and new the underside looks. Of course you know that means you can never drive it in the rain...

I hate to disagree! When my wife and I went to Wales, to my home town for my 65th in 2015, we had the best weather in the UK for the whole 30 days we were there. Absolutely gorgeous every day, swam in the sea for the first time since I left home in '65! Apparently that was the best weather period Wales had the whole year while we were there! Must have taken some of our California weather with us! In fact it was sunny in Manchester yesterday when City beat Crystal Palace 5-2 when they were two behind!
