My pit crew (wife) is currently dailying the bean and getting it ready to come over to Deutschland, she's not a fan of the coilovers. Got some Hankook RS4s put on the TDs for some endurance Nordschleife lapping, also need to get forscan and disable the tpms so it will pass inspection.

The TPMS light on the dash will fail you at Germany's TUV inspection?

I guess they really are as draconian as their reputation.

I see you've got -3.5° camber in front. Is that attainable with just the camber bolts or is there adjustment in the tops of the coilovers?
I've got 225/45/15 tires for autox(that i haven't used yet), but i just did a cold day event and had way more tire rub than i exected with 195/55/15.

That's not a bad system to have working. Especially if you're going to be doing laps of the Nordschleife or running on the Autobahn.

I would agree if it was like GM's system, and had an actual psi readout for each individual tire.
As it is fairly useless to me (if it lights up, you have to check ALL of the tires anyway), and none of my 5 sets (until I sell two sets) of wheels have the sensors in them.
But then I also do not drive at 240 KPH on the Nurburgring or 'bahn.

It's a shame that they do not give active military members an exemption, and let them buy the Euro 2 door version over there and then legally bring it into the states for daily street use.

Agreed, I would love a 2 door mk8.

Finally got to do a post Blackhawk farms track day look over and brake change in preparation for the German safety inspection, turns out removing the dust shield in preparation for future brake cooling was a bad idea without said cooling installed haha. Ordered a service kit from whoosh for the DNA arms and will replace the outer tie rods and caliper seals.

In other news the BRZ has accomplished some successful laps of the 'Ring, just had it into Crown Performance for Cusco RUCA install, front camber bolts and string alignment. Really awesome shop and great group of guys, will be taking the bean to them as well soon. Would definitely recommend checking it out if in the area.

Smallish update, the bean passed inspection with no issues. Surprisingly the damaged boots weren't mentioned, not sure if they looked that hard at it. Disabled TPMS and reset the airbag system with forscan to get the light off as it was coming back even with the resistor in place. Had to drag my PC to the garage because I don't have a laptop haha. Got creative mounting the front license plate with a 3d printed adapter for the grill from Undrilled Mounts on Amazon, combined with a frameless EU holder. Would like it to be a little lower but it works for now.

Next up is getting it 'Ring ready! Waiting on new OEM tie rods and caliper seals from rock auto, also picked up a set of WOR fabrications backing plates to install with the RSP engineering fog light ducts. Only other thing needed is a hose reducer as the backing plate opening is smaller, and relocating/cutting the washer fluid bottle to route the hose. Considering the VUDU aluminum reservoir with the ITG intake as it looks like the cleanest solution but definitely pricey. For now I may just try running the GLOC R14 pads and backing plates without the hose hooked up as the Nordschleife isn't crazy hard on brakes but the GP Track/Spa/Hockenheimring is another story. Also nearing 130k miles so timing belt replacement is on the radar, ideally would like to do it in conjunction with a S280 upgrade but we'll see how that plays out.

Will likely have to drop the struts to adjust the camber plates and get the car realigned as I'd like to get it to -3deg even up front.
