Hi everyone,
I've seen some information about how to get the door panels off, but I wanted to make a step-by-step guide with pictures for anyone tempted to upgrade the stock speakers or anything else that requires the door panels to come off. This guide deals with the passenger door but it's the same process for the driver's side, just more connectors on the window control
1) Pop the cover off the that resides behind the door handle. Remove the torx screw behind it.
2) Next, open the two covers located on the side of the door panel and where the door panel curves. Two more torx screws gotta go!
3) Pry up the window control and remove the connector.
4) Remove the trim panel covering the door handle and remove the two torx screws at the top and bottom of the handle.
5) Pry out handle and tweeter panel.
6) Use a pry tool or pull on the panel to release it from the plastic retainers.
7) Now that the door panel is loose, turn the handle and tweeter assembly sideways to get it through the door panel.
8) While making sure the handle assembly goes through the door smoothly, pull the panel slightly away from the car and up and it should come off!
