OEM LED DRL headlights from the UK
Morimoto 4TL-R Bi-Xenon LHD (for US traffic) projectors
Morimoto Type U LED fog lights in high beam position
ACME WhiteRocket BAU15S LED turn signal bulbs
Professional black paint (2-stage base/clear)
Etched projector lenses ("ST" logo)
Re-sealed with Morimoto RetroRubber butyl sealant
Insured shipping in the domestic 48 states

Think that's expensive? One of the top retrofitters charges $600 just to OPEN these lights!

Parts needed to be completed:

HID system (D2S bulb size)
Load resistors for LED turn signal bulbs

I'm very interested. Where do the ballasts mount up for these? My biggest issue with going HID was running wiring through the bulb boots, not allowing a proper seal and allowing in moisture.

There's no space inside unfortunately, so yes you would need to do the same here. The igniters as part of the HID system have rubber grommets on them that can be used to fully seal up the housing.

Edit: as another option, while it's not quite HID in performance, the new 2Stroke LED bulbs can be entirely self-contained in the housings and would still be an improvement over the halogens.

I sent an email, put a note on some homing pigeons, and released the truffle pigs and no response yet.
