Check to see whether you can shim it.
Ran into a similar issue with my motorcycle after replacing a brake lever.
It worked on a reverse principal of activating as the switch pin was let-out. So I ended up shaving the switch's pin down a hair.

EDIT: For a clutch switch in a prior car, added a bumper-pad to the pedal.

It’s your brake switches behind the pedal.
I broke mine when manually bleeding the brakes with the 2 person method with my Wilwood install.
Replace both the brake switch (Black-Motorcraft SW6545) and the cruise control switch (Blue-Motorcraft SW6546)
Make sure that both switches are MOTORCRAFT parts. I used the autozone switches and it almost got me killed… swapped to the motorcraft switches and now everything is perfect now.

Thanks for the recommendation... 3 months later I ordered the parts you listed all for $31 shipped and after 20 minutes under the dash (the brake one was a little more PIA). Brakes light up with light touch. It also fixed my hill assist and intermittent cruise control issue. Again thanks to everyone giving their input and old info on the forum to help get the my brakes situated.

On an update on how this brake setup feels. Still feels great, very light touch will slow the car down quickly while hard braking will squeal when I come to a complete stop. There is little to no nose dive. Although I have the SVT rear I used stock pads. I am using the stock pads the Whoosh brakes came with. I need new tires so been debating on getting 225 or 205, I commute 100 miles a day. I am also looking to get LSD but not sure which I've read here and there but nothing too in depth about it.
