Hi all,
I drive a Ford Fiesta ST 2013 1.6 model (Manual) and had overheating issues in the past and got head gasket totally replaced by a Ford accredited mechanic recently (November, 2024). The car wasn't starting in the beginning but that has been fixed and now starts fine but the issue is that it is losing power. We have run the following checks again with the mechanic that worked on the car and car is still showing all indicators on the dashboard and wondered whether could it be a computer box issue.
1) Fuel Pump (Checked? Yes)
2) Ignition Timing (Checked? Yes)
3) Plug Wires (Checked? Yes)
4) Oil Pump (Checked? Yes)
5) Spark Plugs (Checked? Yes)
6) Engine Oil (Checked? Yes)
7) Oil Filter (Checked? Yes)
8) Air Filter (Checked? Yes)
The mechanic tried to clear the computer box errors with no success (kept coming back) and most noticeable is the Engine Malfunction Service Now flashing on the dashboard. The mechanic kept mentioning that it could be the computer box, really?
Here are all images related to the issue.
Can someone please assist us.
